Sui Dynasty porcelain craftsman, painter. The birth and death are unknown. He was born in Wujiang (now Suzhou, Jiangsu Province). He lived in seclusion in Meili and lived on his own by painting cats. The cat hangs in the room, the real cat sees and fights with it angrily. In 1982, at the ancient Cizao kiln site in Jinjiang, Quanzhou, Fujian Province, the Southern Dynasty circular cylinder and six legged ring shaped ware were unearthed. It was made of coarse clay, and the inscription "Zhang Jinji" was engraved on the wall or bottom, which should be the mark of the ware making.
