Work style
Zhang Hongjie's writing style focuses on history, culture and national character. He has created a large number of great historical and cultural prose. He has published many prose collections in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea, and his work collection "seven faces of the Ming Dynasty" has aroused great repercussions in the reading circle, and has been on the national new book list for many times. The "historical records" column opened in contemporary magazine in 2006 also received a good response from readers.
To a certain extent, his writing is a typical cross style writing, mixed with a large number of novel style, historical reportage style, and even psychoanalytic style. In his narration, he shows a superb novelist's skills and consciously emphasizes the opening and closing of the plot. The fluency of narration, the opening and closing of plot and the strength of language bring people the pleasure of novel reading.

Zhang Yue
Most of the Chinese history books I read can be divided into two categories. One is the so-called "serious": rather academic, no personality, no emotion, no vitality. One is the so-called "popular": it's quite a wild fox Zen, and loves to talk about political conspiracy and court scandals, which helps Chinese people's dark psychology of advocating "thick and dark". A few history books belong to the third category: they are supported by both academic research and values, as well as warm human care and personalized expression. Zhang Hongjie's books belong to this category. From "seven faces of the Ming Dynasty" to "it's tiring to sit in the world", it's interesting, beneficial and relevant to us.
The bright moon of that year
The first work I read by Zhang Hongjie was his book "the other side" published in 2003. That book shocked me. Different from those traditional history books, in this book, in addition to historical facts, what attracts me to read is the characters and human nature History is human and understandable. I can see all this in Zhang Hongjie's works.
