Fu Yan
Fu Yan, female, born in 1959 in Yangzhou, is a senior arts and crafts artist, a master of Arts and crafts in Jiangsu Province, and a representative inheritor of Jiangsu provincial intangible cultural heritage. His representative works include Taibai drunk, riding a donkey to search for plum, etc.

He has been engaged in art for more than 30 years and is good at embroidering figures and landscapes. His works have won national awards. In 1977, he began to study embroidery under the guidance of Chen Shuyi, a famous veteran artist and senior craftsman in Yangzhou, and Master Lu Shuxian, an outstanding inheritor of Chinese folk culture. Due to his intelligence and diligence, his embroidery skills have become increasingly mature and exquisite. In 1984, the embroidered "Shuanghua Bingyan" and "plain sailing" were presented as gifts by Yangzhou municipal government to Japan's sister cities, houmu city and Tangjin city. The exquisite embroidery products "riding a donkey to search for plum blossom" and "eight strange essence" won silver prizes in 2005 and 2006 China Arts and crafts masters fine arts exposition. "Double chicken" and "carp" won the excellent award of 2007 and 2008 China Arts and crafts masters exhibition. The representative works "Taibai drunk", "riding a donkey to search for plum", "Qu Yuan" are collected by Yangzhou municipal government. Many exquisite embroidery products, such as Jiangshan Duojiao, beautiful ladies, Jinji peony, qianya Jingxiu and Jiangling morning, have been purchased by domestic and foreign businessmen. Their exquisite embroidery skills and work achievements have been highly praised by the industry. As the inheritor of Yangzhou embroidery project, he has taken many apprentices to teach skills. In 2008, he was entitled to the allowance of tutor and apprentice of Yangzhou municipal government.
