Wang Siqi, Ph.D., Professor, director of the Department of musicology, College of Arts and technology, Henan University, director of the Institute of pop music, Henan University, visiting scholar of weizilian University, USA, and young backbone teachers of Henan Province.

They are academic tutors of pop music and professional tutors of pop singing. In 2006, he served as the director of Musicology Research Institute of Henan University. He has been engaged in the research of Chinese contemporary pop music for a long time, and has been engaged in the teaching of music history and music aesthetics.

He has published more than 20 research papers on pop music in domestic professional core journals such as music research, music art, Chinese musicology, people's music and Chinese music. He presided over and completed four national and department level projects, and published four academic works. Among them, contemporary urban pop music in China is the first academic work on pop music research in China, which has a wide influence in the academic circle and has been purchased and collected by Yanjing Library of Harvard University. On October 29, 2010, Henan pop music association was established in Zhengzhou with the approval of Henan Provincial Department of culture and civil affairs. Wang Siqi was elected vice president and executive director of the association. he has won many scientific research awards, mainly including the third prize of excellent scientific research achievements in Henan Province in 2003, the third prize of thesis selection in the National College Students' Art Festival in 2005, the first prize of the first prize of the national master's group of China music history thesis selection in 2001, the second prize of Fujian Province excellent doctoral thesis selection in 2005, and the excellent doctoral group of China music history thesis selection in 2006 Awards. In 2006, he was funded by the cooperative project of the national scholarship committee and the Department of education of Henan Province, and was qualified to study in the United States for one year. In 2007, it became the funding object of the young backbone teachers funding program in Henan Province.
