Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County
Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County, subordinate to Tianshui City, Gansu Province, is located in the southeast of Gansu Province and the northeast of Tianshui City, adjacent to Longxian County, Shaanxi Province in the East, Qingshui County in the south, Qin'an County in the west, Huating and Zhuanglang counties in the north. With a total area of 1311.8 square kilometers (2010) and a population of 332496 (2011), it is a comprehensive demonstration county for e-commerce to enter rural areas. Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County is famous for its scenery of qinjiayuan, xiaomaiji, Shuiliandong of Huaguo Mountain, etc.
In December 2019, Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County won the seventh batch of national demonstration areas (units) for national unity and progress. In February 2020, Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County met the exit conditions of poverty-stricken counties and approved the exit after being approved by the leading group of poverty alleviation in Gansu Province.
In 2011, Zhangjiachuan achieved a GDP of 1765.76 million yuan.

Zhou Dynasty is the birthplace of Qin.
In the 28th year of emperor Zhaoxiang of Qin Dynasty (279 BC), Longxi County was set up in Qin Dynasty, and the county governed Didao (Lintao, Gansu). Zhangjiachuan county belonged to Longxi County.
The Western Han Dynasty followed the Qin system and implemented the two-level system of prefectures and counties.
In the third year of Yuanding reign of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty (114 BC), Tianshui county was set up and 16 counties were under its jurisdiction, of which Longxian county (governing Zhangjiachuan county) was in the county territory. In the fifth year of Yuanfeng reign of Emperor Wu (106 BC), there were 13 prefectures under the supervision of the governor's Department, and Longxian county was under the jurisdiction of Tianshui County of Liangzhou governor's department.
In the 42nd year of Emperor Guangwu's reign in the Eastern Han Dynasty, Wang Mang's prefectural animal husbandry was changed into a governor, and Liangzhou governor's Department was stationed in Longxian county (Zhangjiachuan county). In the 17th year of Yongping (74th year), Tianshui county was renamed Hanyang County, with jurisdiction over 13 counties. Qingshui county and Rongyi county were merged into Longxian county. Lingdi Zhongping five years (188), Liangzhou Cishi Department moved from Longxian to Jixian (Gangu).
In the Wei Dynasty of the Three Kingdoms, the three-level system of state, county and county was implemented. At the beginning of the Three Kingdoms, Wei restored Qingshui County, and removed Longxian County into Qingshui county. It belongs to Guangwei county. Since then, Zhangjiachuan has not set up a county, most of which are under the jurisdiction of Qingshui county and Qin'an County.
In 1130, Zhangjiachuan county was divided into two counties: Yefang county (governing Huangmen township of Qingshui county) and Longcheng county (governing Longcheng and rural areas of Qin'an County).
In 1270, Longcheng county was merged into Qin'an County, and Yefang county was merged into Qingshui county. Zhangjiachuan county is under the jurisdiction of Qingshui county and Qin'an County of Qinzhou. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, most of Zhangjiachuan was still under the jurisdiction of Qingshui county and Qin'an County.
In March of 1913, the provincial and county level system was implemented. Most of Zhangjiachuan county is under the jurisdiction of Qingshui and Qin'an counties of Longnan road in Gansu Province. In 1935, Gansu Province set up an administrative supervision district. Most of Zhangjiachuan county was under the jurisdiction of Qingshui and Qin'an counties, the fourth administrative supervision district of Gansu Province.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China on October 1, 1949, Zhangjiachuan county was under the jurisdiction of Qingshui county and Qin'an County respectively.
In April 1951, Tianshui district was renamed as Tianshui district.
On July 6, 1953, 37 townships of Qingshui, Qin'an, Zhuanglang and Longxian County in Shaanxi Province were merged to form Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous Region (renamed County in June 1955), which belongs to Tianshui district.
In December 1958, Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County and Qingshui County merged into Qingshui Hui Autonomous County.
In December 1961, Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County and Qingshui county were set up separately.
From October 1969 to 2006, Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County was under the jurisdiction of Tianshui District, Tianshui Prefecture and Tianshui city.

On July 6, 1953, Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous Region was established, with 25 townships in Zhangjiachuan, Muhe, Xuanhua and Gongmen districts in the north of Qingshui County, Longshan, Beihe, LianWu, Gaomiao, Tianning and Zhaopo townships in Longshan District of Qin'an County, Wufang Township in Longcheng District, Qingzhen Township in Jinsuo District of Zhuanglang County, zhangmianyi village in Shiqiao township of Xinlong District, and Malu and changningyi villages in Malu District of Long County, Shaanxi Province Baoping township is the administrative region of Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous Region, which has six districts, one town and 37 townships. On July 20, another 17 townships were added, with a total of 54 townships under the jurisdiction of 6 districts and 1 town.
In December 1955, Zhangchuan and Muhe districts were abolished. After adjustment, there are four districts, one town and 29 townships in the region, namely three townships and one town directly under the county, ten townships in Longshan District, seven townships in Xuanhua District, five townships in Gongmen district and four townships in Malu district.
From August to September, 1956, there were 6 natural villages in Songshu Township, Baituo District, Qingshui County, including Gaojia, Liushan, liupo, Guowan, Yangpo and houwu; 12 natural villages in Lianke Township, Qinan County, including Yushu, Gaozhuang, dayangjia, Zhongzhuang, xiaoyangjia, Wazi, Nanshan, helijia, Yanjia, Napoli, liangjiabaozi and liangjiawan; and 3 natural villages in dianzixia Township, Huating County, including shangbaozi, shiyaozi and zhaoyinzi Ran village belongs to Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County. In October, Longshan, Gongmen and Xuanhua districts were abolished, Longshan Town was added, and hemp and Xiali townships were merged. After the merger, Zhangjiachuan set up one district, two towns and 27 townships, namely, two towns and 23 townships directly under the county and four townships in Malu district.
In August 1958, Malu district was abolished and some townships were merged. Zhangjiachuan was reduced to 2 towns and 12 townships. In September, the people's commune was realized and the system of integrating government and society was implemented. After adjustment, Zhangjiachuan governs 7 people's communes and 28 administrative areas, including Zhangchuan Town, Longshan, Maguan, Dayang, Gongmen, Xiali and Malu. On December 20, Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County and Qingshui County merged to form Qingshui Hui Autonomous County, which has jurisdiction over 13 people's communes, 55 administrative regions and 331 production teams. In May 1959, the management area was changed into a production brigade.
On December 15, 1961, when Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County and Qingshui county were set up separately, the former three production teams of Fubao, Chaoyang and houchuan in Qingshui county were assigned to Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County, and the former 14 production teams of Panlong and Puwei in Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County were assigned to Qingshui county. At that time, Zhangjiachuan had six districts, namely Zhangchuan, Malu, Gongmen, Longshan, Maguan and Liubao, 32 people's communes, 342 production teams and 1125 production teams.
In March 1965, the scale of commune teams was adjusted and six district working committees were abolished. Zhangjiachuan was reduced to 16 people's communes, 191 production teams and 1090 production teams, including Zhangchuan Town, Maguan, Liangshan, LianWu, Longshan, Dayang, Muhe, Chuanwang, Zhangliang, Huchuan, zhangmianyi, Liubao, Gongmen, Ping'an, Malu and Yanjia.
In June 1980, Quzi people's commune was set up. Zhangjiachuan has 17 people's communes, 266 production teams, 1294 production teams and 2 residents' committees.
In 1981, the people's commune of Zhangchuan town was changed into Zhangchuan town. At that time, Zhangjiachuan had jurisdiction over 1 town, 16 people's communes, 266 production teams, 1294 production teams and 3 residents' committees.
In December 1983, the people's commune system of "the unity of government and society" was changed. The people's commune was changed into the township (town) people's government. There were administrative villages under the township (town) and villagers' groups under the village. Zhangjiachuan has 1 town, 16 townships, 266 administrative villages, 1294 villager groups and 3 neighborhood committees.
In February 1984, Zhangchuan town was divided into Zhangjiachuan town and Shangmo Township, Longshan Town into Longshan Town and Sifang Township, and South Street residents committee was set up in Longshan Town. Zhangjiachuan has 2 towns, 17 townships, 266 administrative villages, 1294 villager groups and 4 neighborhood committees.
In December 1992, Taiyuan village committee of Dayang township was divided into Taiyuan and Yangwan village committees. In August 1996, dianzi village of Muhe township was divided into three village committees: Dianzi, maojia and Shuigou. At that time, Zhangjiachuan had jurisdiction over 2 towns, 17 townships, 269 village committees and 4 residents committees.
In December 2003, the administrative division was adjusted and Sifang township was abolished. The three administrative villages of Mabu, Weigou and Dongshan were merged into Maguan Township, and the six administrative villages of Yushu, Mahe, Lianke, Sifang, Hanchuan and Lishan were merged into Longshan Town. Shangmo township was abolished and merged into Zhangchuan town;
Zhangliang township was abolished, four administrative villages of nagou, Shanggou, Dabao and Yangdian were merged into Zhangjiachuan Town, and seven administrative villages of Yinshan, Yuanjia, Zhangba, Haihe, Maoshan, Yuanhe and renwan were merged into Gongmen town;
Quzi township was abolished, and eight administrative villages of Shuitan, Xiaqu, Donggou, Shuangmiao, Wujia, Gaogou, Zhaizi and Chenyang were merged into Dayang Township, two administrative villages of Dadi and Yuanshu were merged into Zhangjiachuan Town, two administrative villages of Shangqu and babuzi were merged into Muhe Township, and two administrative villages of Shenke and Houwan were merged into Huchuan township.
After the merger, Zhangjiachuan has set up 3 towns, 12 townships, 258 administrative villages, 1296 villagers' groups and 4 residents' committees. By the end of 2006, the administrative division remained unchanged.

By 2016, Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County has jurisdiction over 9 towns: Zhangjiachuan Town, Longshan Town, Gongmen Town, Liangshan Town, Maguan Town, Liubao Town, Dayang Town, Chuanwang Town, Huchuan Town, and 6 townships: zhangmian Township, Muhe Township, LianWu Township, Ping'an Township, Yan Township, and Malu township.
On October 9, 2015, Liangshan Township and Maguan Township in Zhangjiachuan county were changed into Liangshan town and Maguan town according to the reply of Gansu Provincial Department of Civil Affairs on 22 townships including Qishou Township in Qinzhou District of Tianshui City (GMF [2015] No. 113). After the township reform, the system of town governing village was implemented, and its administrative region and government station remained unchanged.
In January 2017, with the approval of Gansu Provincial Department of civil affairs, Liubao Township, Dayang Township, Chuanwang Township and Huchuan township of Zhangjiachuan county were changed from township to town. Liubao Town, Dayang Town, Chuanwang town and Huchuan town were established.
