Character evaluation
From his choice of the script to his revision of the script and his passion in the film shooting, Zhao Huanzhang shows his keen feeling and positive intervention in life. Most of his scenes always follow the peasants who are familiar with the ascetic life, care about their fate, and watch the trend of rural economic reform. The creative method of socialist realism requires writers and artists to start from the great struggle of the people in reality, describe their destiny and the relationship between them, and deeply reflect the essence of social life. Zhao Huanzhang adheres to this creative method. He insisted on starting from real life, and dared to "look at life sincerely, deeply and boldly, and write his blood and flesh."
