Since 1974, with Li Jia as assistant director and deputy director, he has made films such as "big Motianling", "Diary of female soldiers" and "fragrant sword rain". in 1979, he was promoted to director, and his first work was "the deadly little Fang". since 1981, he has been a director of new art city, Hong Kong. his first work is the sword film "deadly Xiao Fang", the second is the ethical film "San Mao vagrancy", and the third is the hilarious film "mischievous ghost". "Take the wrong bus" in 1983 was his masterpiece. It was shown eight times in five months, and the box office revenue was as high as NT $40 million. At the same time, he won 11 nominations in the 20th Golden Horse Awards, and finally won 5 awards, including best actor (Sun Yue), best supporting actress (Jiang Xia), best original music, best episode and best recording.
