Xue Xiaolu
Xue Xiaolu, born in Beijing in 1970, graduated from the Department of literature of Beijing Film Academy with a master's degree. She is an associate professor of the Department of film literature of Beijing Film Academy and a female writer, screenwriter and director in mainland China.
In 1994, Xue Xiaolu was the screenwriter of the plot film strange love in the Forbidden City, which was her first screenwriting work. In 1998, he entered the science and education program production center of CCTV. In 2001, he co wrote the family ethics drama don't talk to strangers with Jiang Wei. In 2003, he was transferred to the literature department of Beijing Film Academy as an associate professor and master's supervisor. In 2010, Xue Xiaolu directed his first film ocean paradise, which won the best new director of the 7th film channel Media Award. In 2013, he won the best new director award of the 14th Chinese Film Media Award for his self-directed romantic comedy "Beijing meets Seattle". In 2016, she became the highest box office female director in the Chinese film world with her self-made and self directed romantic comedy "the love letter between Beijing and Seattle". In 2017, Xue Xiaolu became the final judge of the Los Angeles Chinese Film Festival.
On August 24, 2020, with "me and my motherland", he was nominated by the director of the 11th Annual commendation meeting of China Film Directors Association in 2019.
Early experience
He was admitted to the literature department of Beijing Film Academy in 1989 and began to publish his works in 1990. After receiving a bachelor's degree in film in 1993, he entered the Department of literature, Beijing Film Academy, majoring in film drama and theory.

In 1997, he entered the University of science and technology of Sydney, Australia, and obtained the MBA Postgraduate Certificate in 1998. In 2003, he was transferred to the literature department of Beijing Film Academy as an associate professor and master's supervisor. He joined the Chinese Writers Association in 2007.
Acting experience
In 1994, he worked as a screenwriter for the first time. His Screenwriter's film "strange love in the Forbidden City" was directed by Duan Jishun and starred by Li Shijiang and Xiulan Limei.
In 2001, he co wrote the family ethics drama "don't talk to strangers" with Jiang Wei, which cuts into the sensitive topic of "domestic violence" from a broad sociological and psychological perspective.

On September 13, 2019, the world's first 5g live broadcast of the film "me and my motherland", directed by Xue Xiaolu, was held in seven cities across the country. In November, he won the best director award of the third "golden screen Award" for his film "me and my motherland".
The film Whistler, directed by Lei Jiayin and starred by Tang Wei in 2019, will be released on December 6.
