Luo Yan
In 1957, Luo Yan was born into a senior intellectual family in Shanghai. She was fostered in her grandfather's home. Her grandfather was arrested during the "Cultural Revolution", and she began to make a living on her own. Before graduating from high school, he worked as a lathe driver in a textile factory and took part in the activities of workers' Cultural Palace in his spare time. In 1978, he was admitted to the performance Department of Shanghai Academy of drama. After graduation in 1982, he became a drama actor in Shanghai People's Art Theater. Kuang Yajun, the director of Shulan, went through a lot of hardships in the film "Youth". The performance was well received.
Early experience
Luo Yan was born in Urumqi, Xinjiang, and her parents are biology professors of Xinjiang University. Unable to find a Mandarin speaking nanny in the local area, she was sent to Shanghai to be raised by her grandparents six months after her birth.
Luo Yan's grandfather was vice president of the central bank and director of the mint before 1949. When she was 10 and 12 years old, her family was copied twice, and her grandfather was "quarantined" twice. Only Luo Yan was allowed to trek to the "cowshed" every week, and each time her grandfather was detained for more than half a year. In the same year, Luo Yan became a member of the primary school Mao Zedong thought propaganda team, singing and dancing. My grandfather died soon after he got out of the cowshed. From then on, Luo Yan and her sick grandmother depended on each other. It is Luo Yan's frequent experience to send her grandmother for emergency treatment in the middle of the night in winter. I'm worried that my grandmother can't come up at one breath, and I'm even more afraid that the emergency doctor will ask my grandmother's family members to sign before giving her a heart shot.
At the age of 16, she was assigned to work as a car blocking woman in Shanghai cotton knitting factory, working three shifts. In his spare time, he finished the "youth self-study series" and became an active member of the drama team of Hudong workers' Cultural Palace.

Six months later, he went to the United States to study with us $60. (when going abroad, the bank can't change more than 40 dollars.). At that time, her English was limited to primary school textbooks and she could not speak in sentences.
To pay for her living expenses, Luo Yan worked as a restaurant receptionist, nanny, cleaner and security guard in the United States. At the same time, in order to maintain the status of students in the United States, we need to take four non-native language professional courses. You must be a B or above in all subjects, or you will lose the dean's scholarship. Without tuition fees, they will lose their legal status in the United States. Therefore, they work hard and go to school. They often spend all night in the student computer center writing and reading papers and prescribed reference books that are 10 times slower than their mother tongue.

Experience in America
Since 1990, Luo Yan has worked as a production assistant at the Los Angeles Theater Center for two years. In his spare time, he took a film production course at UCLA and began to learn how to make a film production feasibility report.
In 1992, the drama center closed down, lost its job for half a year, and was almost destitute.
At the end of 1992, he was employed by a real estate insurance company and changed to study marketing. After half a year of training, it became the main sales force of the company. Then he resigned and started from scratch to establish his own company, montestone international, which has been engaged in the production and sales of patented products for nine years.

I am an idealist
A slender Oriental woman is tender and pitiful. Only when she looks at you can she feel her sharp eyes like a knife. Only at this time can you believe that the beautiful woman standing in front of you is an entrepreneur who controls 15 million US dollars and commands a group of "multinational forces" from the United States, Singapore, Hong Kong and other places. She is Luo Yan, a "pure girl" in the hearts of ordinary middle-aged audience. The female college dormitory and the girl in red starred by her have become the foundation works of Chinese youth films. The image of female college students she created has become the "dream lover" of a generation of young people. However, after many years, as the first Chinese independent producer to enter the mainstream Hollywood film, she appeared in Suzhou, a small town in the south of the Yangtze River with beautiful scenery and pleasant human feelings, and completed her dream of film, the pavilion of women.
The movie crouching tiger, hidden dragon, which is fading from the audience's memory, reminds us of Ang Lee, a simple and talented director like the uncle next door. But for people in the film industry, it is the producer who can enter the top of the power pyramid of Hollywood mainstream films that is the real glory. The Chinese have gone a long way, from Yang Yanzi (the producer of the Joy Luck Club), Alex (the producer of the movie "born on July 4", "heaven and earth", "assassinating Kennedy") to Kevin Zhang (the producer of Hong Kong director John Woo). They can only perform as executive producers, while Luo Yan, as the "chief producer", leads her "foreign assistants" to the success of the Chinese The top of the mountain.
“
I am a child worker in a cotton mill
”
From the appearance, Luo Yan is a petite woman, beautiful and intelligent, but she has a very independent personality and indomitable will. In order to achieve a set goal, she perseveres, has the courage to try, and asks herself to keep improving and strive for perfection. She attributed this to her childhood. Luo Yan was born in a scholarly family. Her parents are both professors, doing scientific research in Xinjiang. As a child, she lived in Shanghai with her grandparents. Before liberation, her grandfather was the vice president of the central bank and lived a happy life. Until after liberation, he still lived a well-off life, lived in a villa and had a nanny to take care of him. However, with the advent of the cultural revolution, their lives experienced a huge gap from heaven to hell. Ironically, he was locked up in the basement of his office building, while the 8-year-old Luo Yan was allowed to send clothes to the cowshed. A few years later, my grandfather died, and my grandmother's health went from bad to worse. At the age of 12, Luo Yan became the head of the family. Four years later, she was lucky to be assigned to the mill as an ordinary female worker.
She mentioned those days with some sadness, "if the grinding work of the mill is a kind of pain for ordinary people, then it is nothing compared with the hopeless life that envelops you all the time." Yes, in the past five years, I only thought of weaving all my life. What hope can I have. But,
