Weng Weiquan

Weng Weiquan

Weng Weiquan was born in Hong Kong in 1949. He studied photography and worked as assistant photographer from 1969 to 1971. He is currently teaching in the school of film and television, Hong Kong Academy for performing arts.

Character experience

In 1971, he won the honorary Bachelor of Arts from Los Angeles Art Center College in California and made a 30 minute documentary a day in Los Angeles. He returned to Hong Kong as a photographer in 1972 and held his first personal photography exhibition in 1973, sponsored by the late Chinese photographer Huang zongzhan. In 1979, he completed the first feature film "rules of the trade". He is currently teaching in the school of film and television, Hong Kong Academy for performing arts.
