Guo Jiulong was admitted to Beijing Academy of drama in 1960 and majored in performance. He graduated in 1968. In the same year, he joined Beijing Hebei Bangzi troupe as a professional actor. Over the years, he has performed many stage characters and accumulated rich performance experience. In the 1980s, he was involved in the film and television industry.
