Liao Qingsong
Liao Qingsong, male, born in 1950 in Taipei, Taiwan Province, is now the producer and editor of Taiwan's Sanshi film industry. In 1973, he graduated from the first training class for film technicians of China Film Corporation. The next year, he joined the studio of China Film Corporation and worked as an editor. In 1987, he directed the first film "looking forward to your growing up". He has been engaged in editing for about 30 years, editing more than 50 films, and is a famous editor in Taiwan's film industry.

In the 1980s, Liao Qingsong cut and edited films for many directors in Taiwan's new film era, such as Yang Dechang, Hou Xiaoxian, Zhang Yi, etc., known as the "nanny" of Taiwan's new films. At the same time, he was also one of the new directors of China film at that time. He was deeply influenced by many directors in the new film era, and greatly inspired their editing methods and concepts. Liao Qingsong had a close relationship with Hou Xiaoxian. When he worked as a Editing Assistant in the central film company, he first met Hou Xiaoxian because of the documentary army small recreation. Since then, they have had a cooperative relationship for nearly 30 years. In about 30 years of film editing career, it has gone through the period of China film policy and Taiwan new film period. He once served as the executive member of the 38th Golden Horse Award, and was nominated for the best splicing of the golden horse award many times. In 2002, he was awarded the 39th Golden Horse Award "best Taiwan filmmaker of the year". In recent years, in view of the serious shortage of talents in the film industry, the Taiwan Film Culture Association was jointly established with Hou Xiaoxian and others to hold an activity called "apprentice school" to teach the splicing technology to the next generation. He has taught in the film department of Taiwan University of the arts and the radio and television film department of Shixin University. Now he is an associate professor in the film creation Institute of Taipei University of the arts.
