Chen Jinxing

Chen Jinxing (January 1, 1958 - October 6, 1999), nicknamed a jinzai, was born in Sanchong City, Taipei County. He committed kidnapping, murder, hostage taking and many sexual assault cases in 1997.

Famous cases

Bai Xiaoyan's murder is the most famous case. The main suspects in this case are Lin Chunsheng and Gao Tianmin, who shot themselves in confrontation with the police.

Introduction to crime

Before he committed many major cases in 1997, Chen Jinxing had been trained in Green Island Management for other cases since the Marine Corps retired from the army in 1981, and was released from prison when Jiang Jingguo died in 1988. On April 14, 1997, Chen Jinxing, together with two other suspects, Lin Chunsheng and Gao Tianmin, kidnapped Bai Xiaoyan, the daughter of artist Bai Bingbing, and demanded a ransom of US $5 million. Bai Xiaoyan's body was found on April 28. On June 6, she kidnapped Taipei county councilor Cai Mingtang. On August 8, she again kidnapped a businessman surnamed Chen from Beitou. On August 19, 1997, Chen Jinxing and two others started a gunfight with the police on Wuchang Street in Taipei city. Lin Chun was born in the action of encircling and killing himself, which resulted in the death of police officer Cao Limin. On October 23, Chen Jinxing and Gao Tianmin killed Fang Baofang and his wife, a plastic surgeon in Fang Baofang clinic, and raped and killed Zheng Wenyu, a nurse among them. Later, Gao Tianmin committed suicide in a raid on November 17, 1997. On November 18, 1997, Chen Jinxing held the family of McGill Alexander, the military attache of the South African Embassy in the Republic of China, on Xingyi Road, Beitou District, Taipei City, and confronted the police at his official residence. Finally, after negotiation with Hou Youyi, leader of Taipei criminal police, he surrendered and was arrested. In addition, Taiwan political figure Xie Changting also participated in the negotiation. tests later found that Chen Jinxing raped at least 20 women during his escape. On January 23, 1998, Taiwan Banqiao district court sentenced Chen Jinxing to five death sentences and two life sentences. He was executed in Taipei detention center on October 6, 1999 and was 41 years old.
