Personal experience

Born in Pyongyang on September 29, 1921. As a student, he was widely involved in music, dance, opera, film and literature. In 1938, he came to Harbin and met Ballet for the first time. In the same year, he entered the ballet institute run by the Russian people to study. The next year, he was admitted to the ballet company of Harbin Symphony Orchestra to perform ballet and Eastern European folk dance. He was soon promoted to solo and lead dancer

Main works

He was the lead dancer in the ballet "Swan Lake" and "gabelia", and created the Dances "waltz", "Belarusian dance" and "puppet dance".

In 1945, he was the lead dancer and solo dancer in the ballet Prince Igor. During the performance, he redesigned the dance movements and boldly used the traditional Chinese dance techniques, which won high praise. In 1947, Zhao Dexian joined the Chinese people's Liberation Army as a dance instructor of the propaganda team.
