Zhang Yuer (1907-1981), formerly known as Zhang Guoxiong, was born in Xie village, Shunde, Guangdong Province. At the age of 11, he studied with musician Xu Guifu. He started singing in Hong Kong at the age of 13. Her representative work is "singing with joy in qionglin". When the record industry rose, Shanghai and Hong Kong record records for her, including "butterfly fan", "Flower Moon leave trace", "mouth flower", "dog flesh father", "wandering son sad autumn", "love flower love fruit", "Yingying reward card", "worship Golden Flower", "brother in need", "word flower factory looking for wife" and so on. Later, he Shaoxia, the composer of music, was invited to write "a generation of artists", which was very famous and popular.
Personal profile
Zhang Yueer, formerly known as Zhang Guoxiong, was born in 1907 to a poor peasant family in Xie village, Zhongcun village, Panyu, Guangdong Province. However, she was sold to Xinhui because of her poor family. She was raised by her adoptive mother (aunt) and studied under Xu Guifu, an old musician. When she was 13 years old, the major record companies began to hire her to record. At that time, Hong Kong's Gelin record company collected famous artists to record the song "singing girl's feast in qionglin", and called Zhang Yueer the star of the singing industry, Xiong Feiying the leader of Dahou, Guo Xiangwen the leader of pinghou, and Liu Biyun the posterity of Zihou. In the 1920s, Zhang Yueer's albums such as "butterfly fan", "flower and moon leaving traces", "wandering son mourning autumn", "love flower and love fruit", "Yingying reward card", "Kouhua", "baijinhua", "brother and brother" and "word flower factory looking for wife" were popular in Hong Kong and Macao. Zhang Yueer is well deserved for her reputation as a "singing star". In the 1930s, Ruan Lingyu, a movie star, committed suicide. Zhang Yueer not only mourned for this generation of red stars, but also resented the cannibal society. Wu Yixiao, a famous songwriter, was invited to write a song "a generation of artists" for her. After its publication, it has become a household name and a well-known song for women and children. Zhang Yueer not only has her own flat throat family, but also has her own characteristics in singing harmonic music, such as "Tong Tai Lao Guan", "Er Shen Gui Gui" and "kan Xiang". In addition, she can sing a variety of tones, big throat, flat throat, Zi throat, Zi Mu throat and Lao Sheng throat can be used freely. In a song, one person often sings many roles, with different identities and similar appearance and spirit, so the masses also call her "ghost horse king". Zhang Yueer has been famous for more than 60 years. She has traveled all over the province, Hong Kong, Macao, Shanghai and remote rural areas. She has been to San Francisco, Singapore, Malaya, Siam, Vietnam and other places to sing. She has returned with great reputation and won numerous awards and gold medals. But Zhang yue'er doesn't have a bit of "Lao Guan" airs. She is funny, cheerful, approachable, open-minded and studious. She doesn't understand anything, and even has no shame to ask her students. Although she was absent from school when she was young, due to her modesty and studiousness, she not only knew the words, but also understood the meaning of the words and sentences, and mastered the specific scenes and characters of each song. Therefore, Zhang Yueer could sing songs with seven emotions, with her voice following her emotions, and her tune following her emotions. Zhang Yueer is "never tired of learning" and "never tired of teaching". It's no exaggeration to say that Zhang Yueer is "full of peaches and plums". In the 1920s and 1930s, Zhang Yuer's first apprentice to the moon sang with teachers and students and made many records. The students who have made some achievements in the province, Hong Kong and Macao include Zhang Dieer, Su Yinger and Guan Chumei. Zhang Ping'er, Guan xue'er, you juan'er, Xiao'er and rong'er are a large number of informal students who will change their jobs or leave their homes. Even Xiao Yanfei, Zhang Xueying, Liu Biyun, Hu Meilun, Huang Peiying (i.e. xinyue'er) and he Lifang, who are unofficial students, have received a lot of lessons from Zhang yue'er. In the words of he Lifang, "it's a half apprentice of a family.". after the 1960s, Zhang Yueer was old and suffering from heart disease. She continued to teach apprenticeship. Her last favorite student was Miss Yang Lihong, who once sang with Hong Kong Xiangjiang amateur music club and won high praise. Zhang Yueer devoted her whole life to the cause of Quyi. Unfortunately, she died in Hong Kong on November 4, 1981.
Career
Everyone in the folk art circle knows that master Xu Guifu is very strict. He hates art as a child's play. In the jargon, it means "food and clothing". When an artist is late, he will see Master Fu waiting at the door, ask her to look at the clock, and then criticize her. When the artists sing, if there is something not serious enough, master Fu stands under the stage and criticizes them severely. Zhang Yueer often talks to her students about how she was often beaten and hidden under the stage by her master. little star, Zhang Yueer and Bai Chanjuan. Under the strict teacher's instruction, Zhang yue'er developed the habit of being meticulous about art. She teaches students not only singing, but also the demeanor, mouth shape and facial expression. Zhang yue'er is most opposed to not asking the inside story of the song, and all of them have a fixed singing style. She often teaches students how to use singing, not only to know what it is, but also to know why it is. Every song she sings is carefully handled. For example, "a generation of artists" and "Youzi Beiqiu" are both flat throat solos. The Erhuang of the two songs are almost the same, and the general singing method can be the same. But Zhang Yueer's singing of "wild grass and idle flowers are not the charm of that year" is "that year". Between the two words, she has a multi tone voice, which is both sad and angry When singing "it's cool time to leave home in autumn", you don't stop breathing after spitting out the word "autumn". You slide on the sound "5" all the way to the middle Ding, and then you quickly slide down the octave. Suddenly, the word "cool" sounds like a rustling autumn wind. In particular, harmonic music, because it is a multi angle, and the performance of a variety of characters, the processing is very different, looks, sophisticated, drama, dementia, pungent, men and women, young and old, have different singing, all Weixiao WeiMiao, listen to music as if you see the person. When she thought that the routine treatment would break the mood in the song, she broke the routine. For example, in "a generation of artists", there was a sentence "turning waves in the sea of love". Originally, after "in the sea of love", there were four people who had patted the door. Zhang Yueer didn't want to go through the door. She sang all the time to make the whole sentence coherent. In the aspect of harmonic music, there are more unconventional singing methods. When Zhang Yueer sings, the audience can hear every word clearly without looking at the slide. Is it a gift? no It turns out that Zhang yue'er has worked hard. Every time she gets a new song, she thinks about it sentence by sentence. In one sentence, she divides it into three kinds: subject, adverb and function word. The subject is emphasized, the adverb can be sung in a general way, and the function word is taken. This kind of treatment is more prominent in harmonic music, for example, in a paragraph of Er Shen lie GUI: "so superstition is really completely applicable. The canal is nothing more than a system. Er, God deceives ghosts, and the system is in disorder. In these two sentences, Zhang yue'er deals with "superstition", "no more than" God deceives ghosts "as the subject," indeed "," Qudi "and" Xichu "as the function words, and the others are adverbs. When singing, the subjects are closely linked, and are not limited by the original tune. The theme of "Er, God deceives ghosts" is emphasized in two sentences. In this way, the main and secondary parts of each sentence are clear and clear. "Four two singing, a thousand pounds of white", Zhang Yueer is not only a superb singer, recitation is perfect. She taught the students that they should never ignore the recitation in singing. They should read clearly, have a sense of rhythm and conform to the characters in the song. Zhang Yueer's nianbai can be so touching, is the result of her careful study. For example, in the song "raising orphans", there is a sentence "I hate I can't eat you 〝 meat and sleep you 〝 skin". According to the literal understanding, generally speaking, the voice is raised to show resentment. Zhang Yueer's treatment is to bite her gums to read the first half of the sentence, the second half of the sentence to lengthen the word "sleep", and then the word is deeper than the word. At last, she seems to use all her strength to force out a rhymed and silent "skin" word The image of a dying woman full of resentment and suffering from severe lung disease is vividly depicted. In the aspect of harmonic music, Zhang yue'er often reads a large part of her speech in one breath, and her words are clear and clear. In the early days of liberation, Sun Moon Star troupe invited Zhang Yueer to play a guest role in the play "a hundred flowers blooming red". The plot of the play is a story from the Qing Dynasty to liberation. Zhang Yueer was not born as a dramatist. She was also in her forties at that time. It was very difficult to play a role from youth to old age. Because Zhang Yueer always attached importance to the portrayal of characters, her performance was just right and proper. A theme song was full of applause. Some people say that listening to Zhang Yueer's songs only makes her laugh, which is of little significance. It's a prejudice. Zhang yue'er hates the bad phenomena in the society, so most of her songs are about criticizing the current situation. A generation of artists, huayueliuchen, aihuaqingguo, and buried huayinghen are the accusations against the old rites; quitting smoking and joining the army, seeking a wife in a flower factory, and xiangxiaoyehehua are the accusations against prostitution and gambling; baijinhua, Jianxiang, and ER Shengui are against superstition. Of course, in the old society, it was inevitable that there would be some dross in the lyrics. This was the fault of the society at that time, and the responsibility was not entirely on the singers. It is said that Zhang Yueer sang "miscellaneous tune". Yes, Zhang Yueer does not have a fixed "moon cavity". She said that if every song has those tunes, it can't sing out the characters' characters, and it's all the same, even if the tunes can be heard for three days, it will be boring. Therefore, Zhang Yueer's singing is based on emotion. It is because of this that we can sing sad songs with tears in our ears, sing harmonic songs with laughter, sing anything like, never tire of listening, and enjoy a reputation of more than 60 years. I studied under Zhang Yuer in the 1940s. I sang with my teacher for several years in the provinces, Hong Kong and four townships. After liberation, I also participated in the donation campaign to resist US aggression and aid Korea and publicized in the streets.
