In 1976, he went to Hong Kong with Zhang Che and became the backbone of Zhang Che's military force. In 1978, he was the leading actor in more than five blockbusters. He, Lu Feng, Jiang Sheng, Luo Mang and Sun Jian were the main forces of baojiangshan in the late 1970s. As an action director, he has participated in directing movies such as "across the world", "the legend of the white haired witch", "two beauties of the peerless generation", "007 empire of tomorrow" and "the ghost of a beautiful girl" He was nominated for the best action design of the 7th Hong Kong Film Awards for "the ghost of a beautiful girl" (1987) and Cheng Xiaodong. In the mid-1980s, he changed his name to Guo Zhenfeng. He served as a martial arts director in movies such as "cross the world", "the legend of the white haired witch", "007 Empire tomorrow" and many TV dramas on wireless TV. He was nominated for the best action design in the 7th Hong Kong Film Awards for "the ghost of a beautiful girl" and Cheng Xiaodong.
Guo served as the action director of the American film empire of tomorrow and the French film the wolf pact.
His son, Chen Yesheng, was a traffic police officer in Hong Kong and has now died in his post.
