Acting experience
In 1946, Feng zhe entered Shanghai Cathay film company. In 1947, he co starred with Shu Xiuwen and Yang Weiwei in the plot film "nepotism", thus opening his career as an actor. In the same year, he co starred with Su Hui in the plot film "memory of Jiangnan", in which he played Li Zhiyun, a young poet of the national salvation propaganda team of Shanghai cultural circles. In 1948, he starred in the plot film good husband and wife, and in the same year, he and Shu Yi starred in the plot film plain sailing, in which he played Tian Baolin, an unemployed employee. In 1949, he co starred with Shu Xiuwen in the love movie "the way of love"; in the same year, he co starred with Dai Yun in the plot movie "rain and wind in Jiangnan". In 1950, he entered Shanghai Tianma film studio and co starred with Li Lihua in the plot film "winter goes and spring comes". Feng zhe grew up in an intellectual family where Chinese and Western cultures mingled. His father, Feng Jiantong, works in China's railway management. His mother, Wei Yaoshan, is the daughter of Wuhan tea merchant Wei Jiecheng. She was educated in the West since childhood and studied in St. Mary's girls' School of Shanghai missionary school. She is a female bass singer in the school. The elder brother is Feng Yishan.

In 1946, when Feng zhe was watching Guo Moruo's play in the rehearsal of "China drama society", she was unconsciously attracted by a supporting actress who played a singer, Zhang guangru. Later, because of the same occupation, Feng Zhe and Zhang guangru soon got to know each other. On May 7, 1949, Feng Zhe, 29, and Zhang guangru, 20, married at the Liuguo hotel in Hong Kong. After marriage, Zhang guangru had two miscarriages. Later, because Zhang guangru's fallopian tube was blocked and caused edema, she excised the fallopian tube and was no longer fertile.
Death
On June 2, 1969, Feng zhe died of persecution and detention during the cultural revolution. He was 49 years old. On July 13, 1978, the Emei film studio held a memorial meeting for Feng Zheping.
