In 1983, Li Lizhen took part in Huang Baiming's film happy ghost and began to enter the film world.

In 1996, Li Lizhen made a vow to marry a music composer and gave birth to her daughter in 1998. In 2000, they divorced and Li Lizhen was given custody of her daughter.
In May 2013, Li Lizhen was exposed to be married to pan Yuanliang, but they were not married. They had been separated and combined for 30 years. Pan Yuanliang said in 2016, "I want to go!" They broke up for the fourth time.

Li Lizhen was born in Hong Kong, China, on January 8, 1966. Her parents are overseas Chinese from Indonesia, and her ancestral home is Meixian, Guangdong.
