Character evaluation
As a film and television worker, Yu Xiaoying pays close attention to the world themes of nature, ecology and national survival. It is this sense of national responsibility, historical mission and cultural crisis that drives him to travel tirelessly on the vast prairie. For the beauty of the vast prairie and the future of national culture, he releases his enthusiasm and devotes his painstaking efforts to elaborately create a series of grassland films of "Mongolian people in the new century" (review of Inner Mongolia's propaganda, ideological and cultural work). Yu Xiaoying's "Mongolians in the new century" series is a series of films focusing on the living conditions of ordinary Mongolian herdsmen. Its unique feature is that the director clearly put forward the creative concept before shooting, insisted on shooting and completed the series of works over ten years. Yu Xiaoying's thinking on the relationship between Mongolian traditional culture and modern civilization is unique compared with the directors such as seif, couple Meliss, zhuoghe, Ningcai and haschaolu. He doesn't focus on exposing problems like other directors, but on solving problems. Instead of praising Mongolian traditional culture, he focuses on expressing Mongolian traditional culture New vitality under modern civilization in the new century
