Chen Liyu

Chen Liyu, born in Gutian, Fujian Province on July 2, 1977, was admitted to Fujian Fanghua Yueju troupe in 1990, specializing in Xiaosheng, a descendant of Yin school, a national first-class actor and the sixth generation descendant of Yin school.

At present, he is the deputy director of Fujian yinpai Yueju art inheritance and protection center.

Character experience

In 1992, I was sent by the Provincial Department of culture to Zhejiang art school to study the performance of Yue opera. At the beginning, it was hard basic training -- blanket skill, leg skill, body training and so on. However, with my love for Yue opera, my good conditions and hard training, I never fell behind others. Singing is the first of the four skills in traditional Chinese opera. I have more trouble than Zhejiang girls in pronunciation training. In addition to listening carefully in class, I also listen to tapes carefully. I am willing to spend a lot of spare time to complete or even exceed the learning task. I also won the second place in the Yueju singing competition held at school. In drama performance, I learned the teacher's one move first, but imitation alone is not enough. Under the teacher's training, I learned some literary theories and tried to cultivate my own observation, imagination and body coordination, focusing on inner rhythm, depicting the inner world of characters, and really singing characters, singing mood and singing meaning. Based on the teacher's trust in me, in the three years of school, I was in the first group in the repertory group. The school's foreign affairs tasks, school leaders, teachers will often send me to perform. When I was a sophomore, I played the role of Liang Shanbo in "back to the 18th" which was also recorded and played by the provincial TV station. In the big play of graduation report, I played the leading role and won the first prize scholarship and the title of "three good students".

After returning to the league in June 1995, as a backbone force, I cooperated with the mission of the league and starred in the big play Mu Guiying and Yang Zongbao, in which I played Yang Zongbao. It's a martial arts play. You have to wear big leagues and high boots, and you have to turn over barbarians when you are trapped in a horse pit. For this reason, I was afraid of difficulties, but under the patient guidance of the teacher, I finished it smoothly. The teacher excitedly said: "you are the first girl who wears so many clothes to turn over barbarians!" I'm also very pleased, because it's the first time that I've practiced so many years and really combined in the play. Although for this I shed countless sweat. At the end of 1997, the province held a competition for young and middle-aged actors, and I chose "Houyou nunnery" for a discount. Although I am not satisfied with the results, I also objectively find out my own shortcomings, because actors should be more strict with themselves if they want to stand in the middle of the stage.

At the beginning of 1998, the troupe re arranged Mr. Yin's representative work "asking for a wife from a wife", starring me. At the beginning of the rehearsal, I set a standard for myself: to achieve artistic self transcendence, even if only a little. I know the weight of the play. It's not easy to inherit, but more difficult to innovate and surpass. Moreover, it's one of Mr. Yin's masterpieces that I respect very much. I devoted myself wholeheartedly and spent several months in the rehearsal room. Under the guidance of the director, I studied the script, pondered over the characters, and accurately grasped the characters' personality, ideological context and psychological changes. Unfortunately, due to the general depression of drama and various reasons, there are few performances after returning to the troupe. I was once depressed and wanted to give up, but after all, I still can't do without the Shaoxing opera that has been with me for ten years. In my spare time, I went to the teachers of normal university to learn vocal music at my own expense. I integrated the scientific vocal method into my Yin school. At the same time, I cultivated myself to watch some drama performances and literary theories. Because I know that only with more abundant cultural preparation can the characters be more conscious and rational, because the profound artistic implication can not be explored by simple external physical conditions. Although the group did not give me many opportunities to practice, I took it seriously when I was assigned to play a supporting role. When I went to the countryside, I also played every character in every play. In the big play Jian Shi Ji, I played a female role, but I was a little student. Because I performed seriously, I was unanimously affirmed by leaders, directors and teachers. I'm singing the Yin school, and I still hope to be given the chance to play more yin school plays. I deeply know that only a large number of performance practice can inherit Yin school art and make the existing classic works continue. What's more, I hope to give full play to my artistic personality through my original plays, and further improve, improve and show the unforgettable beauty of youth in continuous practice.
