Chen Xiangyun

Chen Xiangyun, male, Han nationality, was born in January 1964 in Xinjian, Jiangxi Province. He is a member of the Communist Party of China, a senior engineer, and holds a doctoral degree.

At present, he is deputy secretary and director of the Party group of Jiangxi Provincial Bureau of geology.

He graduated from Wuhan University of Geosciences and was assigned to work in the Geological Investigation Brigade of Jiangxi Bureau of Geology and mineral resources. He successively served as technician, chief engineer, deputy chief engineer and director of investigation department;

From August 1991 to June 1994, he studied in the Department of Earth Sciences of Nanjing University and obtained a master's degree;

From March 2009 to April 2015, member of the Party group and deputy director of the Department of land and resources of Jiangxi Province;

From December 2016 to October 2018, he served as director of Jiangxi Provincial Bureau of surveying, mapping and geographic information;

From October 2018 to January 2020, he served as deputy director of the Department of natural resources of Jiangxi Province, director and Deputy Secretary of the Party committee of the Bureau of surveying, mapping and geographic information of Jiangxi Province.

Character events

On April 27, 2015, Jiangxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection issued a circular on Chen Xiangyun's illegal receipt and delivery of "red envelopes", requiring cadres and public officials at all levels to take warning.

Jiangxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection has seriously investigated and dealt with Chen Xiangyun, a member of the party leading group and deputy director of the Provincial Department of land and resources, for accepting "red envelopes" in violation of discipline.

According to the investigation, during the Spring Festival in 2014, Chen Xiangyun received a "red envelope" of 20000 yuan from a private enterprise owner. In October 2014, when Chen Xiangyun learned that the relevant personnel had been investigated, he handed over the 20000 yuan cash received to the provincial anti-corruption account. On January 22, 2020, it was decided to appoint Chen Xiangyun as party secretary and director of Jiangxi Bureau of Geology and mineral exploration and development.

On the morning of February 9, 2021, the Jiangxi provincial Party committee decided that Chen Xiangyun would be deputy secretary of the Party group and director of the Jiangxi Provincial Bureau of geology.
