Huang Lianyu
Huang Lianyu, a Taiwanese musician and Hakka pop singer, was born on August 20, 1960 in Toufen Town, Miaoli County, Taiwan. He graduated from the mechanical design group of the private joint second college.
In 2008, he won the 19th Taiwan Golden Melody Award for best Hakka singer and album in pop category. In 2015, he won the best Hakka singer and best Hakka album award of the 26th Taiwan Golden Melody Award for his work "a way of folk songs". On June 29, 2018, the Golden Melody of Taiwan won the best album award.

Huang Lianyu, whose ancestral home is Jiaoling, Meizhou, was born in Miaoli County, Taiwan.
