Chen Xiqiang is a teacher, doctor, professor and doctoral supervisor of School of economics and statistics, Guangzhou University. Member of the Teaching Steering Committee of economics major (Higher Vocational College) of the Ministry of Education (2006-2010), member of the Teaching Steering Committee of economics major of undergraduate universities in Guangdong Province (2015-2019), vice president of Guangzhou economic society, major administrative decision argumentation expert of Guangzhou Municipal People's Government (2015-2020), executive director of the world economic development association, and China's macro economy Executive director of management education society.

He has long been committed to the research of regional economy, public economy and other fields. He has presided over three National Natural Science Foundation projects, one national social science major project sub project, eight provincial and ministerial level projects, and won three second prizes and three third prizes of excellent scientific research achievements at or above the provincial level. He has published more than 70 papers in core journals such as economic research, China soft science, and China Administration, and many papers have been reprinted in full by Renmin University of China. He has published six books such as research on the coordination of industrial structure adjustment and employment structure in people's publishing house.
