Li Yuanchun
Li Yuanchun (1929-december 19, 2020) was born in Hejian, Hebei Province. He is a member of the Communist Party of China, a famous Peking opera performing artist and a model worker in Beijing.
He worshipped Li Lanting as his teacher, studied martial arts, and was taught by Shang Heyu. In the 1940s, they began to perform in groups. The main repertoire of their performances was Kungfu opera, which was very popular among the audience in Beijing, Tianjin and Northeast China.
On December 19, 2020, Li Yuanchun died in Beijing at the age of 91.
Life of the characters
He used to be a member of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference, a director of the Beijing Federation of literary and art circles, and a director of the Beijing Association for promoting Peking Opera and Kunqu Opera.
Later, he and his sister Li Yunqiu organized the Beijing spring and autumn Opera Troupe and acted as the leading role in parallel. His plays include "San Da Bai Gu Jing", "San Dai Ba Jiao fan", "Wu Song Da Dian", "Wu Song", "Tian Bo Lou", "Tong Tian Xi" and so on. His brothers and sisters have a tacit cooperation in fighting, and they complement each other, which is highly praised. In the 1950s, the Beijing Youth Peking Opera Troupe was founded, and they were the leading actors of the troupe. Later, they became Beijing Peking Opera Troupe and Beijing Peking opera academy. The repertoire is very rich, including short combat wusheng drama and unique monkey drama, such as "Longtan Baoluo", "qianqianbao", "Eighteen Arhats fighting Wukong", "naolonggong", "naotiangong" and so on, as well as modern drama "crossing the sea to plant flags".

At 17:06 on December 19, 2020, Comrade Li Yuanchun, former head of Beijing Opera Troupe and national first-class actor, died in Beijing at the age of 91.
