Character evaluation
Huang Junlang's painting style has a simple and complex feeling. He can use black-and-white color to outline simple lines of men and women, or text frame paintings with various decorative patterns, as well as gorgeous space scenes. Because he has not received formal drawing training, and is also engaged in graphic design, he has no teacher for many computer software related to design. He said that when he wanted to study something, he would study it thoroughly. When he wrote the lyrics for Jay Chou, he needed to refer to a lot of data related to the theme of the song. For example, when he wrote the song "general", he decided to use chess as the theme of the whole song. He bought a thick book of chess introduction and studied the chess score for half a month before he began to write the lyrics. He said that he didn't want to show the feeling of academic school, but while maintaining his own style, he also had to study the creative theme to write in-depth works. (Sina online review)
Huang Junlang's lyrics are very rap, suitable for Jay Chou's tune; her lyrics are full of picture sense and have great penetrating power. There is no doubt that the song "in the name of my father" is classic. Huang Junlang's words have made a great contribution to the success of the song. Taking the words "against scale", "general" and "chapter seven of the night" as examples, we can see a very rare phenomenon that the styles of these songs are very similar. We have no way to know whether the order of creation of the songs written by Huang Junlang is a little different. The emotion expressed in these songs is not the current popular love.
