Gan Shangshi, male, was born in October 1931 in Xinyi County, Guangdong Province. He loved music since childhood, especially Gao Hu. Since 1953, he became the chief of Gaohu in Guangzhou South China song and dance troupe, and has spent more than 40 years of Gaohu performance and education career. At present, he is a professor of Guangzhou Xinghai Conservatory of music, a famous Gao Hu performer, an educator of national instrumental music, a member of China Musicians Association, a folk music director (Professor) of China Correspondence Conservatory of music, an executive director of China National Orchestra Association, a Guangdong music art director of instrumental Music Department of China Conservatory of music, a consultant of Canadian Chinese Orchestra, a director of American biographical society, and a member of Guangdong CPPCC.
Personal life
In 1957, as a member of the Chinese Youth Art Troupe, he participated in the sixth World Youth and student peace and friendship festival held in Moscow, the Soviet Union. He won the honorary title of the artist of Amis. Since 1960, he has been teaching in Gaohu major of Guangzhou Conservatory of music Xinghai Conservatory of music, Guangzhou Conservatory of music. He has trained a number of outstanding talents in Gaohu performance and teaching. Since 1962, he has been recording a large number of cassettes, compact discs, CD ROMs and radio programs for China and Hong Kong record companies, central and provincial radio stations. At the invitation of music institutions in Hong Kong and the mainland, they also give performances, lectures and academic exchanges. Since 1982, he has successively edited and published: Gaohu techniques of Guangdong music and selected Gaohu performance music of ganshangshi (the first time to publish the general score with staff notation) published by Beijing People's music publishing house of China; systematically summarized on the performing art of Guangdong music; compiled teaching materials including basic training of Gaohu techniques, Gaohu etudes, Gaohu scale exercises, etc. in teaching; also created a series of works Many Guangdong music works, most of which have been recorded and distributed by radio broadcasting and audio-visual companies at home and abroad, such as "walk in the flower market", "Pearl River Moon", "Lingnan fragrant plum", "light boat dangyue" and the first national Guangdong music Grand Prix "Lake Spring Dawn" won the best works.
