he graduated from Huazhong University of science and technology in 2001, majoring in plastic forming technology and equipment, and obtained master's and doctor's degrees in material processing engineering of Huazhong University of science and technology in 2004 and 2008 respectively. from November 2010 to October 2011, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of mechanical engineering at the United campus of Indiana University and Purdue University (IUPUI). since January 2013, he has been an associate professor and master's supervisor of plastic forming technology and equipment research institute, School of materials science and engineering, Shanghai Jiaotong University. now he is associate professor and master supervisor of plastic forming technology and equipment Research Institute (former Department of plastic forming Engineering), School of materials science and engineering, Shanghai Jiaotong University.
Research direction
(1) Three dimensional numerical simulation and process optimization of injection molding and crystallization process in filling simulation, GLS method and PspG method are used to solve the velocity field and pressure field, which overcomes the numerical oscillation problem caused by the incoordination of velocity and pressure interpolation space under the same grid. SUPG / ggls method is used to solve the temperature field, which avoids the numerical instability caused by convection dominance and small diffusion (heat conduction) coefficient In the pressure maintaining simulation, the solid-liquid two-phase coupling calculation model of three-dimensional compressible melt flow and viscoelastic solidification layer deformation is established; in the cooling simulation, the three-dimensional viscoelastic calculation model is established; in the warping simulation, the three-dimensional elastic deformation calculation model is established; the calculation model of shear induced time index and shear induced crystallization and the injection molding process are established The influence model of crystallization on melt viscosity and the heat transfer model of injection molding considering crystallization exothermic were established. The three-dimensional numerical simulation software of injection molding filling, holding pressure, cooling, warping and crystallization process was independently developed. The influence of injection molding process parameters on crystallization and crystallization on injection molding process were simulated and studied. The comparison between the experimental results and commercial software simulation results was made The results show that the model and numerical algorithm have good accuracy, stability and practicability. (2) RTM numerical simulation and process optimization of resin transfer molding self developed non isothermal midplane RTM numerical simulation software and non isothermal solid mesh 3D RTM numerical simulation software. The multi-layer grid and layered data (including viscosity, temperature, velocity, curing degree, etc.) are introduced into the thickness direction of the midplane model, and the maw upwind scheme of CVFEM (finite volume method) is applied to the RTM filling flow simulation, which improves the stability and accuracy of the numerical calculation. The developed numerical simulation software can predict the flow front, temperature, curing degree, etc, It can be used to optimize the gate location, gate size and injection time, and predict the changes of local porosity, permeability and flow pattern caused by the change of ply fiber direction.
