After the founding of new China, in March 1951, he joined with the 44th division of the 15th army to resist US aggression and aid Korea, and successively served as platoon commander and company commander of the volunteer army. In a crucial battle, Cui Jianguo risked his life to investigate the enemy's front positions and found that the enemy had laid mines at the pass. At this time, regardless of his personal safety, he dug up 30 enemy mines and opened up the pass. The headquarters immediately launched a charge to seize the high ground that the US Army had been tenaciously defending.
In 1956, Cui Jianguo transferred from the army to Huangshi, Hubei Province. Deeds
In the spring counterattack, Cui Jianguo, a member of the Communist Party of the second platoon leader of a Chinese people's Volunteer Army, made a special contribution in the battle of Kali mountain, which wiped out the 38th regiment of the US Army to the north of Hongchuan. After the war, he won the title of "special hero". He is an excellent commander, but also an extraordinary fighter. Before the launch of the counterattack, he led the soldiers to learn tactics and techniques, and vomited blood because of overwork. The superior asked him to recuperate for a few days, but he refused to say: "seeing the disaster suffered by the Korean people with my own eyes, thinking about the threat to the motherland, how can I recuperate because of this minor illness?"
Since the beginning of the counterattack, Cui Jianguo's platoon, after several requests, took up the task of commando to capture the 752 highland of Kali mountain. Cui Jianguo divided the whole platoon into four groups. Like four sharp knives, he went straight into the four bunkers at the top of the hill in the front of the highland and quickly killed all the 18 American soldiers in the bunkers. Then he divided the team into two groups and attacked the second mountain, which was about 200 meters high. The mountain defended the enemy and fled. In five minutes, the Highlands were occupied. Three American soldiers who had no time to escape were killed by a grenade of Cui Jianguo. The two battles at the highland front ended in ten minutes. The second platoon quickly covered the main force and occupied the 752 highland.
As the main force of the volunteers continued to plunge into Dashui cave, the headquarters of the 38th regiment of the US Army, the warriors of the second platoon bravely thrust into the highway leading to Hongchuan and cut off the enemy's cars. The enemy launched a group charge in order to pull out the sharp sword that was inserted on his back. In this close combat, the volunteers gave full play to the power of light firearms, and the enemy fell one by one in response to the gunfire. Cui Jianguo loudly encouraged his comrades in arms and said, "beat! Comrades, what a good goal this is! One bullet can knock him down two or three! " He was armed with an automatic gun and fired for more than ten minutes. When the bullets ran out, he picked up the two automatic carbines he had just handed over and fired them at the same time. After firing, he replaced them with a machine gun. In order to escape the fate of being completely annihilated, the enemy, regardless of heavy casualties, still fought back with all his might and launched a white-edged hand-to-hand battle on the battlefield. Cui Jianguo picked up a carbine with a bayonet, jumped out of the fortification, aimed at an American soldier at the front, and pierced the guy's chest. He pulled out his bayonet and killed five American soldiers in succession, bending the bayonet. The blood of the beasts splashed all over him, and he was wounded in his own hands and legs. Inspired by Cui Jianguo, his comrades in arms also showed incomparable heroism. Ammunition man Wu Yincheng is pressed underground by an enemy. He bites off the enemy's ears. The enemy runs away with his bloody head in his arms. Machine gun shooter Wei Ming used a round spade to split the heads of two enemies. Shen Xuekong, the monitor, suffered four injuries and fought with the enemy bravely. This earth shaking hand to hand battle scared the American soldiers to flee in a panic. There are six scared weak legs of the enemy knelt down in front of Cui Jianguo.
The next night, the second platoon accepted the task of attacking the hill on the right side of Dashui cave. After a fierce battle last night, the heroes were inspired by the ambition of annihilating the enemy, forgot their fatigue, and bravely and quickly stepped into the enemy line. The warriors hit a grenade, and the enemy ran away, leaving only a heavy machine gun on the top of the mountain to cover the rout. Cui Jianguo went around to the back of the enemy machine gunner, grabbed his disheveled long hair, caught him from the fortification, and handed in a heavy machine gun.
During the two nights of fighting, Cui Jianguo killed more than 20 enemies, stabbed six and captured seven prisoners, and handed over a chemical gun, a heavy machine gun, two carbines and five automatic rifles. Under his excellent command, the second platoon excellently cooperated with the main force to annihilate most of the 38th regiment of the US Army. After the war, Cui Jianguo was promoted to company commander of the ninth company. At the hero model forum held by a volunteer army unit, Cui Jianguo humbly said: "as a member of the Communist Party of China, this achievement is nothing. I will kill more enemies in the next battle and make contributions to the people of the world. "
