1937 single
1937 Nanjing Massacre Memorial single
Speaking of the origin of the song "1937 Nanjing Massacre Memorial single", we have to mention the trip to Beijing in 2001.
In 2001, Feng Huxiang held a Chinese culture study camp in Beijing. Some young people were invited to visit Peking University. Zhang muting took part in this activity. In an alley near LaoShe Teahouse, a group of young people strolled around. In the middle of the alley, they ran into an old man. He was very excited to meet his compatriots in Taiwan, so he told them a lot about his own background. At that time, they found that he was a victim of the Nanjing Massacre and a survivor.
The old man I met was a boatman on the Qinhuai River in Nanjing when I was young. When Nanjing Massacre happened in 1937, he was spared because he went to other places to row boats. But when he returned to Nanjing, he could not find his first girlfriend. Later, the old man came to Beijing to start a family, but the past can never be forgotten.
At first, it may be OK to listen to the story, because it took a long time, but the more he told it, the deeper he went into the story, so he burst into tears. He shed tears for a long time.
Zhang muting also learned the history of Nanjing massacre when he was in middle school. In his textbook, he still remembers the photos of two brutal Japanese fascist officers in a homicide competition. On December 13, 1937, the massacre of more than 300000 compatriots after the Japanese army captured Nanjing. Although Zhang muting was shocked at that time, the Nanjing Massacre was only an abstract concept for him.
Zhang muting was deeply moved when he heard a survivor of the Nanjing Massacre telling about his misfortune. After returning to Taipei, he always wanted to write a song for his compatriots killed in the Nanjing Massacre.
In March 2004, Zhang Mu Ting accidentally saw a film called "May and August" on TV. This is a film that shows the misfortune of Nanjing massacre to Chinese people through children's eyes. The film deeply touched Zhang muting and inspired his creation. With tears in his eyes, Zhang muting finished the creation of the song.
Shortly after the creation of the song 1937, Zhang muting set up a website with the same name. On the front page of the website, Zhang Mu Ting wrote a few words: "hatred can be put down, but history can't be forgotten!"
Song tampered with
In October 2010, to commemorate the Nanjing Massacre, Zhang muting's well-designed public service song 1937 was tampered with as a love song for profit. The songwriter Zhang muting sued Beijing Muyu brothers Cultural Media Co., Ltd. and Shanghai quantudou Network Technology Co., Ltd. Recently, the people's Court of Pudong New Area in Shanghai made a judgment of first instance, in which Muyu company compensated Zhang muting for more than 46000 yuan in economic losses, spiritual solace and other expenses, and published a notice of apology and elimination of influence on its website.
