Yang Xinlun (1898-1990), whose name is Keding, is the owner of zhenyuzhai, a native of Yahu in Panyu, Guangdong Province (now Haizhu).

Life experience
Yang Ruiyan, the grandfather of Yang Xinlun, was the first mate of the Haiyi warship of the Beiyang Navy. His father Yang Baizhai was a teacher in Shanghai in his early years. During his study in Guangzhao Yixue, Yang Xinlun studied with LV Wencheng, who later became the originator of Guangdong music, which had a certain impact on Yang Xinlun's Guqin art career.
Yang Xinlun was born in Shanghai and has been practicing martial arts since he was a child. He is a famous guqin player and a famous martial arts player. He has been a martial arts teacher in Shanghai Jingwu Sports Association (founded by Huo Yuanjia), Guangdong kunwei women's normal school, Jiangsu Zhenjiang mincheng middle school, etc. He was a member of Jingwu club together with Huo Dongge, a famous martial arts master, and he had exchanged martial arts skills with each other. In the mid-1920s, by chance, Yang Xinlun listened to the performance of Wu Chunbai, a famous guqin player, at the Jingwu society. His clear and meaningful tone aroused Yang Xinlun's strong interest.
In 1928, Yang Xinlun bought a Guqin at Qingmi Pavilion, Wende Road, Guangzhou. He went home to install and debug the Guqin. He felt that it was extraordinary and was very happy. He worshipped Wang Shaozhen as his teacher. Wang Shaozhen is from Guangxi, known as liyufeng. Yang Xinlun learned xianwengcao and basic exercises from teacher Wang Shaozhen. Later, he got to know Lu Jiabing, Chen Shuju, Rong Xinyan, Tan Shaofu and other influential figures in Guqin circles through Wang Shaozhen. He also learned Yu Qiao Q & A from Lu Jiabing. Later, as Lu Jiabing's family moved to Hong Kong, through Lu's introduction, Yang Xinlun found Zheng Jianhou, the authentic descendant of Lingnan guqin, and worshipped him as a teacher for 20 years. He was separated during the Anti Japanese war. It is said that Zheng Jianhou later went to Hong Kong.
Yang Xinlun learned from Zheng Jianhou the classic music of Lingnan Guqin school, such as Bijian Liuquan, Yushu Linfeng, nostalgia, gulls forgetting the opportunity, Wu Yeti, etc. With the efforts of today's Lingnan Qin people, these classic music will carry on the past and open up the future, and will be handed down from generation to generation.
In his youth, Yang Xinlun worked as a martial arts teacher in Zhenjiang middle school and kunwei women's high school in Guangdong. Later, he worked in insurance in Guangdong, Shanghai, Tianjin, Shenyang and other places. It was not until 1953 that he returned to Guangzhou and joined the Guangdong culture and history research institute that he ended his wandering for more than half a century and devoted himself to the research and teaching of Lingnan Guqin. In order to thank the country, he presented more than 20 pieces of valuable Guqin to the country, including Xiaoyue (the existing Shanghai Museum), which was collected by Ju Lian, the founder of the famous Lingnan School of painting. Since this period, Yang has been absorbed into the Chinese Musicians Association, and accepted the entrustment of Guangdong Musicians Association. He contacted Zhao Jianfen, Zhou Guijing, sun mutang (the father of sun Leyi, who was once the mayor of Guangzhou) and others, who were the surviving old musicians, to gather together from time to time.
In 1959, Yang Xinlun attended the national "literary and art Congress" held in Beijing and was received by Chairman Mao. In September 1960, Yang Xinlun was employed in Guqin major of Folk Music Department of Guangzhou Conservatory of music. He was apprenticed to Xie Daoxiu and Guan Qingyao, as well as Yang Shide and Liang Zhaorong, as elective students, who planted seeds for Lingnan Guqin. At the first Yangcheng concert held in Guangzhou in 1962, Yang Xinlun led his students Xie Daoxiu and Guan Qingyao to participate in the performance. A chorus of "Q & A of fishermen and woodcutters" was successful, and Lingnan Guqin made its debut. In 1963, Mr. Yang Xinlun attended the first national Guqin score making conference.
In the "Cultural Revolution", how many precious Guqin were broken or buried in flames. Yang Xinlun has made unremitting efforts to protect the precious Guqin and its materials, which he has collected for many years. After the "Cultural Revolution", Yang Xinlun called on the students to discuss the revitalization of Lingnan Guqin. At this time, Li Xiangting, a famous guqin player, accompanied the Chinese song and dance troupe to perform in Guangzhou, which set off a "Guqin fever" in Guangzhou. Yuan Jiancheng, Luo Qiaoling, Qu Junhong and Zhong Jinzhang, who have studied boxing with Yang Xinlun, also learn Guqin. Later, Mr. Mo Shangde, Mr. Mo Zhongyu, Mr. Mai Hanxing, and Li Chunchan, Zhu libing, Wan MEIXIA, who used to attend the evening school of literature and history, rejuvenated the Lingnan Guqin.
With the support of Guangdong Musicians Association and the efforts of Mr. Yang Xinlun, Guangdong Guqin Research Association was established on October 24, 1980, with Yang Xinlun as its president and Mo Shangde as its vice president. The establishment of Guangdong Guqin Research Association marks that Lingnan Guqin has entered a new era.
On February 1, 1990, on the sixth day of the lunar new year, Mr. Yang Xinlun, the great master of Lingnan guqin, died at the age of 92. Every year during the Qingming Festival, Yang Xinlun's disciples and grandchildren will go to Yang Xinlun's cemetery in the outer suburbs to worship with reverence. During his lifetime, Yang Xinlun encouraged the new generation by striving for the inheritance and development of Lingnan Guqin.
