Yu HaoChen was born in Hunan Province. At the age of five, he studied violin for several years with his mother, who graduated from the Central Conservatory of music. In high school, he began to study classical guitar by himself. Later, he went to Beijing to learn classical guitar from famous classical guitar artist Chen Zhi and classical guitar player Fang Renjun. After that, he taught himself rock guitar and folk guitar, and studied a variety of music styles. He took part in the MTV shooting of wolf's "you at the same table" and played a guitarist.
