Gaoyitai is Hangzhou gaoyitai cloth shop (later renamed gaoyitai cotton shop). In 1905, Hangzhou rich Gao zishao invested 800 liang of silver to set up his business in the west of Tianshui bridge. Because of its good management, his foundation was prosperous. On the eve of Hangzhou's liberation, Gao's grandson transferred funds to Taiwan, and Buzhuang was in trouble. After the public-private joint venture, it moved to No. 119, Zhongshan Middle Road, and its business gradually flourished. During the "Cultural Revolution", it was renamed Shixin Budian, and its name was restored to gaoyitai in 1984.

Before the fall of Hangzhou, they moved to Jinhua, Lanxi, Lishui and other places. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, he returned to Hangzhou to resume business. A brief introduction to Buzhuang

Hangzhou gaoyitai cloth shop (later renamed gaoyitai cotton shop) is a famous big shop in Zhejiang. It took more than 50 years from the sole proprietorship of Gao in 1905 to the public-private joint venture in 1956. Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province, is also a famous scenic city in China. It is also a transportation center for passenger and freight transportation in several Southeast provinces. During the period of the Republic of China, the commercial centers of Hangzhou were concentrated in the area from Gulou to guanxiangkou, namely Qinghefang, taipingfang, Hufu Fang, yangbatou, sanyuanfang and Shouan Fang. Each square set up a wooden fence and was strictly guarded. Many well-known big business houses opened here. In 1929, Zhongshan middle road was expanded, and three or four storey western style houses were built one after another, which made the appearance of the city neat and beautiful, and the style of the stores generous. Gaoyitai Buzhuang is located in yangbatou, the most prosperous business district in the city. Before that, Gao zishao, the founder of Gao Yitai and rich in financial resources, had more than 5000 mu of rice fields and cotton fields in Linping, Qianqing, Shangsi and Xixing, which was quite popular among the people. Gao zishao invested 8000 yuan in 1905 to open gaoyitai Buzhuang, which was located at the west end of Shuiyang bridge in Qingtai street. Later, he moved to yangbatou in 1911. Another two capital increases totaled 16000 yuan. Chen Yinshan is the general manager of the company, with more than 30 employees. After more than ten years of poor management, the foundation is increasingly consolidated. In 1923, a four story western style house with 130 employees was built. Gaoyitai Buzhuang building was built earlier, with new style and large scale, ranking second to none in Zhongshan middle road. The shape of the building is a corner building with four floors and six bays. The business place is on the side of Zhongshan middle road and the office area is on the side of Zhijie street of Sanqiao site. The house imitates the western financial architecture style, with brick concrete structure, thick wall and heavy foundation, high house with open porch, steel windows and wax floor, the lower floor is business hall, the upper floor is office and warehouse, so the new building is out of the reach of ordinary businesses. Later, Zhejiang Industrial Bank building and other bank buildings rose one after another, and gaoyitai Buzhuang building gave up its "boss" position. The ten years from the completion of the building to the Anti Japanese war was the heyday of gaoyitai Buzhuang. For example, in 1935, the turnover was second to none in the same trade. The annual turnover of the store and wholesale was more than 1 million yuan, the inventory was 300000 yuan, and the profit was 108000 yuan. In the 1990s, the old building of gaoyitai Buzhuang was demolished due to the need of the construction of Xihu Avenue.
