Early experience
In 2001, Wang Dongcheng and several high school students (Xiu, Ting, etc.) formed the orchestra "karma" (the predecessor of "dongchengwei") to perform on campus. In 2002, the orchestra attracted the attention of record companies during its performance, but it was temporarily disbanded because some of its members were soldiers and some went to Southern University.
In 2005, out of love for music, several members regrouped and changed their drummers. In October of the same year, they changed their name to "dj-wis" (huowen: put together the English names of each member, d-dun. Laodeng, j-jiro. Dadong, w-will. Xiaodrummer, i-iyhon. Laoqiu, s-sun. Xiu). In November, Wang Dongcheng was discovered to star in the TV series "ultimate class one". Although he made a successful debut, he was born in January In February, he was arranged to play "Fahrenheit" with Wu Zun, Yan Yalun and Chen Yiru. At the same time, other members of the orchestra also played "dongchengwei" (Jie has not joined the orchestra).
Acting experience
In 2006, the orchestra was officially renamed "dongchengwei" due to the good response of "ultimate class one". In 2007, the orchestra took part in "the ultimate family" as the group of the same name "dongchengwei" (Jie joined the orchestra, Xie Hexian was not a member of "dongchengwei" in the play, but only guest starred as the lead singer of "dongchengwei" in the play).
In 2009, in the TV series "the ultimate Three Kingdoms", Chen Dexiu, the leader of the orchestra, as one of the leading roles, played "tieshizihuyan Jueluo · Xiu" and "jinshiziliu Bei", Wang Dongcheng as "Sun CE", and the orchestra continued to guest play "tieshizitiekejin guard's chief battle group, dongchengwei" (Zeng Peici is not a member of dongchengwei, but only joined dongchengwei temporarily in the play to cooperate with dongchengwei) In April, he participated in the release of the collection of "the ultimate Three Kingdoms" super battle (TV Soundtrack of "the ultimate Three Kingdoms"), and on November 8, "dongchengwei" participated in the Changhua local food festival (he was the lead singer for the first time).
On February 7, 2010, the orchestra, together with Wu Hujiang and Zeng Peici, held the "Zeng AI Yaowu Yangwei concert" in Ximen riverbank, with additional sessions; on March 14, the orchestra and Zeng Peici held the first mainland song club in Shanghai; from May to July, they held the "rock'nrolllock" in Ximen riverbank, Taipei, echo art and culture music exhibition space in Taichung, and on the ground floor of 169 Jianguo Third Road, Kaohsiung On July 9, the orchestra released its first mini album "dongchengwei d.c.w" with the same name, which won the third place in Taiwan's wind and cloud list (7.18-7.24) and the fourth consecutive week in Taiwan's g list in 2010 (the sixth place in the 29th week, the eighth place in the 30th issue, the fifth place in the 31st issue and the 17th place in the 32nd issue); on July 10, the orchestra held the "hero's return to the Great Three Kingdoms special exhibition - dongchengwei"; on August 15, it was the Jolin concept workshop I'll make the opening performance. On August 29th, he participated in the concert of Rainbow Paradise 8 / 29, and on September 10th, Dong Chengwei d.c.w sold more than ten thousand yuan. The CD + DVD was revised and released. In addition to the MV of the first main song "on the day you leave", it also included the 40 minute live video of Dong Chengwei leaving a message on the Bank of Ximen river. The album ranked sixth in the 37th week, 18th in the 38th issue, and 12th in the 39th issue of Taiwan g list for three consecutive weeks.
From October 2010 to March 2011, special touring concerts were held in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Taipei and Kaohsiung Oriental Institute of technology. In August 2011, the first official album "wake meup" was released in Taiwan. The album ranked 6th, 9th, 17th and 17th in the 31st week, 33rd and 34th in the 2011 G-List for four consecutive weeks. From August 6 to September 11, 12 autographs were held in Taiwan. On August 27, a "New Song Concert" was held in Taipei's Ximen river bank. On October 12, the album "wake meup" was revised and released.
On February 6, 2012, the "east city guard - before the revolution" concert was held in Huashan city; at the end of February, the orchestra temporarily stopped its activities because the guitarist Xiu and drummer of the group were going to serve in the army; in the same year, the orchestra guest starred in "ultimate class 2", playing the group of the same name "east city guard". In 2013, he guest starred in "ultimate class 3" and played the group of the same name "dongchengwei".
In 2014, the orchestra released the single "089bi"; in the same year, it guest starred in "the ultimate dormitory X", playing the group "dongchengwei" of the same name, and its head Chen Dexiu, as one of the main actors, played "Huyan Jueluo · Xiu".
