Zhang Yue, male, born in 1960 in Chenzhou, Hunan Province. On March 6, 2010, it took Yuanda Group only 24 hours to build Yuanda hall with completely lightweight steel structure, away from concrete garbage and dust. Fu Lixin, the general director of the museum project, said that the construction waste of Yuanda museum is only 1%, and its building material consumption is only 1 / 6 of that of traditional buildings and 1 / 5 of energy consumption. These data are undoubtedly closely combined with the concept of "low carbon and energy saving" in Shanghai World Expo.
It was Zhang Yue's idea that the grand hall was formed in one day. According to the practice of previous World Expos, temporary venues must be removed at the end of the exhibition. "Can we tear down the house intact after the Shanghai World Expo and rebuild it in other places, so as to reduce the waste of building materials to zero?" Zhang Yue thought like this, and gave the idea to his team and put it into practice. With an area of more than 2000 square meters, it integrates material saving, energy saving, environmental protection and earthquake resistance, making tourists truly feel the low-carbon life brought about by modern science and technology.
In the museum, the reporter personally experienced the advantages of "low-carbon building": the application of low-cost wall insulation, multi-layer glass windows, sunshade outside the window, heat insulation inside the window, fresh air heat recovery and other technologies can make the building easily realize energy conservation. The museum also set up a room called "ice and snow". The room is full of snow and the temperature is minus 20 ℃. Yuanda made three simple comparisons in this room: the wall with 30 cm thick insulation material doesn't feel cold at all; the wall with 10 cm thick insulation material feels a little cold; the wall without insulation material is very cold. At the same time, the window glass from single layer, double layer, three layer and window frame with plastic frame, wood frame and aluminum alloy frame are also compared. "Three layer glass window is 8 times more energy-saving than single-layer window", Zhang Yue strongly suggests using three-layer glass window and wooden window frame with more thermal insulation.

On the same day, Zhang Yue invited more than 400 people at home and abroad who are concerned about environmental issues to gather in the Grand Hall of the Expo site to discuss "the importance and urgency of low-carbon buildings". Environmentalists from the United Nations Environment Programme, the climate organization and the World Resources Institute expressed their views.
Wen Haonan, a German architect, said that in order to make the development of low-energy buildings a trend in China, the technical conditions are already very mature. The biggest problem is that developers and consumers lack the motivation to develop or purchase energy-saving buildings. Zhang Yue, a fine arts major, has covered the walls of the organic restaurant on the fourth floor of Yuanda hall with paintings of still life and human figures he has painted since the 1970s, which is quite in the style of Monet and Luo Zhongli. The theme of the grand Pavilion of this Expo is "to find the direction of 7 billion people". According to Zhang Yue, "our direction is happiness, not more consumption; our direction is health, not more hospitals; our direction is safety, not the development of irresponsible technology."
