Zhou Wei, female. Assistant artist, member of China Arts and Crafts Association, young ceramist. Born in a pottery making family, he has been influenced since childhood and has a special preference for purple sand. Graduated from the Department of fine arts of Nanjing Academy of Arts, he studied the design and production of purple clay pottery from Zheng Changfeng, a senior craft artist. After unremitting efforts and careful speculation, the pot making technology gradually improved, and formed its own pot making style. His works are especially good at square pots. The square pot is smooth in line, clear in outline, stable and solemn. On the basis of inheriting tradition, it pursues innovation.
