Li Mingde
Li Mingde, Professor of Tongji University School of law / School of intellectual property, graduated from Peking University, has been engaged in legal research for a long time. He has published many monographs and translated works, and published more than 50 papers.

Li Mingde is currently professor of Tongji University, doctoral supervisor of Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, executive vice president of China Intellectual Property Law Research Association and member of national intellectual property expert advisory committee.
He was admitted to Peking University in 1978. He received bachelor of history, master of law and doctor of law in the Department of history and law of Peking University. From January 1995 to January 1997, he was a visiting scholar in the Law School of Washington University, studying and researching the intellectual property law of the United States. From February to August 2001, he worked as a visiting researcher at the MARPOL Institute of intellectual property law in Germany, studying the European Union and German intellectual property law. From October 2006 to March 2007, he worked as a visiting researcher in the Institute of intellectual property law of Japan to study the intellectual property law of Japan.
He has published 12 monographs and translated works (including co authorship and co translation), and published more than 60 papers in legal research, global legal review, intellectual property and China copyright. Main works include: Special 301 clause and Sino US intellectual property disputes (2000), American intellectual property law (first edition in 2003, second edition in 2014), copyright law (co authored, first edition in 2003, second edition in 2009), introduction to copyright law (2005), intellectual property law (2007), intellectual property law (first edition in 20008, 2014) The second edition of 2009, copyright law (the second edition of 2009), EU intellectual property law (2010), notes on experts' suggestions on Copyright Law (coauthor, 2012), etc.
He has participated in a series of international academic conferences and seminars, and visited the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Spain, Sweden, India, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and other countries. At a series of international and regional conferences, he published in English "digital economy and intellectual property rights", "World Trade Organization and China's intellectual property protection", "TRIPS Agreement and traditional knowledge, genetic resources and folk literature", "theory and practice of well-known trademark protection", "establishment and development of China's intellectual property system", "comparative study of well-known trademark protection between China and Japan", "China's patent law" "The system of intellectual property rights and its development", "the reform of China's intellectual property law enforcement system", "the revision of China's intellectual property law" and so on.

Li Mingde, who was admitted to Peking University in 1978, successively obtained Bachelor of history, master of law and doctor of law in the Department of history and law of Peking University. From January 1995 to January 1997, he was a visiting scholar in the Law School of Washington University, studying and researching the intellectual property law of the United States. From February to August 2001, he worked as a visiting researcher at the MARPOL Institute of intellectual property law in Germany, studying the European Union and German intellectual property law. From May to June 2002, he was a visiting scholar at the Law School of the University of British Columbia, Canada, studying Canadian Intellectual Property Law.
Since July 1991, he has worked in the Institute of law of the Chinese Academy of social sciences as an assistant researcher, associate researcher and researcher. Since 2002, he has been a doctoral supervisor of the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and his enrollment direction is intellectual property law. At present, he is deputy director of Intellectual Property Center of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, director of Intellectual Property Law Research Office of Institute of law, arbitrator of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission and arbitrator of Beijing Arbitration Commission. From October 2003 to January 2004, he was a visiting professor at the Institute of science and technology law, Tsinghua University, Taiwan. On April 11, 2016, he officially joined Tongji University Law School / School of intellectual property.
He has participated in the demonstration of the revision of patent law, copyright law and trademark law, as well as a series of related academic conferences and seminars. A series of training courses organized by the State Intellectual Property Office, the State Copyright Office, the State Trademark Office, the Ministry of science and technology, UNESCO and the European Commission. He has participated in a series of international academic conferences and seminars, and visited the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Spain, India, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and other countries. In August 2001, he attended the Asia Pacific Regional Conference held by the World Intellectual Property Organization in India and delivered a speech entitled "digital economy and intellectual property" in English. In May 2002, he attended the joint annual meeting of American Society of Sociology of law and Canadian Society of Sociology of law in Vancouver and delivered a speech on "World Trade Organization and China's intellectual property protection" in English. In September 2003, he attended the WIPO Asia Pacific intellectual property training course in South Korea and delivered a speech on "TRIPS Agreement and traditional knowledge, genetic resources and folk literature" in English. In February 2003, he attended the seminar on the protection of well-known trademarks in Southeast Asia in Singapore and delivered a speech on "China's well-known trademark protection" in English.
