Qi Fei, born in Tongcheng, Anhui Province in 1968, is a combustion expert, professor and doctoral supervisor of School of mechanical and power engineering, Shanghai Jiaotong University.
After graduating from Anhui Normal University in 1991, Qi Fei entered the University of science and technology of China for a master's degree and a doctor's degree; after graduating from the National Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory of University of science and technology of China in 1997, he successively served as assistant researcher, associate researcher and researcher; in 2003, he served as doctoral supervisor of the National Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory of University of science and technology of China; in 2008, he won the first prize of Wu Zhonghua He was elected a member of the American Physical Society in 2012, and taught in the school of mechanical and power engineering of Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2014.
The main research content of Qifei is the development of tunable VUV photoionization mass spectrometry and laser spectroscopy, and its application in the research of combustion and energy conversion.

Achievements in scientific research
The main research fields of Qifei include: combustion related (pyrolysis, oxidation and flame) experiments, theoretical and kinetic simulation, pyrolysis kinetics of biomass and coal. By 2016, Qi Fei had published more than 200 SCI papers in science, accounts of chemical research, and Angewandte Chemie International Edition, including more than 70 papers in combustion and flame and proceeding of the combustion Institute.
