Zhou Yaokun
Zhou Yaokun, born in 1945 in Qingjiang, Jiangxi Province, is a national first-class performer. He has been the chief of the Central National Orchestra for 20 years, the first chief of the Asian orchestra composed of artists from China, Japan and South Korea, and the chief of the band of the Chinese people's Congress at the first China Art Festival.

At the same time, he published five personal albums, such as "the Yellow River" and "the soul of the Chuanjiang River", edited and published the national erhu grading textbook, and published many articles.
Character evaluation
He was awarded the title of "artist with outstanding contribution" by the State Council, the first batch of "top performers" by the Ministry of culture, and the former vice president and Secretary General of Erhu society of China musicology Association. Over the years, he has devoted himself to Erhu art, and has profound attainments in performance, creation, teaching and instrument improvement. His performance is fast and bright, especially the agility of changing the handle with the left hand's fast finger. The combination of hardness and softness, and the ruggedness and simplicity have become Mr. Zhou's unique performance style. He composed and adapted more than 30 erhu pieces. In terms of the reform of national stringed instruments, he has made a lot of innovative experiments. He has also served as a jury member in national erhu and national instrument performance competitions for many times. He has also lectured and taught in the art schools of major Conservatory of music in China, and trained a large number of young erhu performers.
