Feng Shaoxian
Feng Shaoxian, Yueqin player. Born in December 1939 in Hailun County, Heilongjiang Province, a primary school teacher's family. Yueqin player of Heilongjiang song and dance theater. Character experience
I have a strong interest in music since childhood. He was admitted to hailun County Pingju troupe in 1953, mainly engaged in the accompaniment of Beijing opera, and learned all kinds of musical instruments of traditional Beijing Opera: Peking Opera huqin (Jinghu), Peking Opera erhu (jingerhu), Peking Opera Sanxian, Peking Opera Yueqin, suona, flute and other Peking Opera percussion instruments. After 1957, he was admitted to Harbin song and Dance Troupe (now Heilongjiang song and dance theater), studied and played modern folk music, and became an erhu soloist. In 1958, he went to Harbin Art Institute to study huqin under Professor Zhang Jilang. It was also in this year that Feng Shaoxian reformed the Peking Opera Yueqin into a modern Yueqin with 12 average rhythms and 4 8-degree ranges.
In 1959, Feng Shaoxian was promoted to chief of the orchestra.
He is currently the artistic director of the National Orchestra of Heilongjiang song and dance theater and enjoys the special contribution expert allowance of the State Council of the people's Republic of China.
Since the 1950s, the reform of Yueqin has been successful, which broadens the range of original Yueqin, arranges the music according to the twelve average temperament, invents a variety of playing skills, and enriches and improves the musical expression of Yueqin. The modern Yueqin reformed by Feng Shaoxian has a different pitch for each string, a large number of items (lattices), and a wide range of 4 octaves. Feng Shaoxian also cooperated with a number of composers to produce many Yueqin Concertos and solos, making Yueqin as a solo instrument on the stage of many concert halls and large concerts in China and abroad, and the Music Department of the university has also made great progress The major of Yueqin has been set up.
Main works
Feng Shaoxian premiered Liu Xijin's Yueqin suite sketch of northern ethnic life, Yueqin Concerto song of iron man, Sanxian, Banhu, Yueqin, percussion suite Manchu suite, Jinghu Concerto impression of pihuang and Sanxian playing and singing song of black earth.
His works include Yueqin solo Songhua River Fishing Song, which was created in cooperation with Dacang. Since then, he has also composed Yueqin solo "a hundred thousand masters crossing the river", "Cangshan song never falls", "Oroqen bonfire" and "sketch of northern minority life" (cooperation). He has visited and performed abroad for many times, and has been well received. He has published a collection of Yueqin solos, etc. In 2006, he won the first "lifetime achievement award of literature and art" in Heilongjiang Province.
