Meng Yong, born in 1954 in Yiyang, Hunan Province, is a national first-class composer. He graduated from the Music Department of Hunan Normal University in 1982. At present, he is vice chairman of Hunan Federation of literary and art circles, honorary vice chairman of Hunan Musicians Association and member of creation Committee of China Musicians Association. Professional composer of Hunan song and dance theater. He once served as the head of Hunan Broadcasting Art Troupe. Since he started composing music in 1978, he has created more than 1000 pieces of various kinds of music works, of which more than 90 pieces have won the "five one project award" Chinese music "Golden Bell Award", the national TV "flying sky Award", "Golden Eagle Award" and other awards. brief introduction

Meng Yong, a national first-class composer, began to learn Erhu performance since he was a child. In 1975, he was transferred to Yiyang District Art Troupe as Erhu and big pipe player. In 1982, he participated in the National Instrumental Solo competition on behalf of Hunan Province. He played two erhu and Daguang solos created by himself and won the performance award awarded by the Ministry of culture. He graduated from the Conservatory of music of Hunan Normal University in 1982. After graduating from the University, he was assigned to Yiyang Culture Bureau as a music professional. In 1985, he was transferred to Hunan Radio and Television Art Troupe. In 1988, Meng Yong, who was only 33 years old, became the team leader. In May 2002, Meng Yong resigned his post as head of radio and television Orchestra and transferred to Hunan song and dance theater as a professional composer. He has been the music director of large-scale theatrical parties held by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and CCTV for more than 20 times, cooperating with Li Guyi, song Zuying, Zhang Ye, Yan Weiwen, Wu Bixia, Lei Jia and other famous singers.

Since he started composing music in 1978, he has published, published and performed more than 1000 pieces of songs, instrumental music, dance music, film and television music, etc. Among them, more than 80 won the national "five one project award", the national television "flying sky Award", "Golden Eagle Award", the Ministry of culture "Stars Award" and the Chinese music "Golden Bell Award". Over the years, Meng Yong has cooperated with famous singers Li Guyi, song Zuying, Zhang Ye, Yan Weiwen, etc. In the 2005 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, Meng Yong's creation and song Zuying's singing of "fly" won the second prize of the audience's favorite Spring Festival Gala program, which attracted wide attention. Later, the work won the Golden Bell Award, the highest award of Chinese music, and became a college vocal music teaching material. In 2002, in the 10th "youth song competition", Lei Jia's Shanzhai sketch won the excellent award of the national singing professional group. In 2003, it won the new work award of the Ministry of culture, and ranked first among the five national songs, becoming the University vocal music teaching material. In 2004, at the 11th "youth song competition", Meng Yong had three more works on the stage, and four of them won awards. Lei Jia's "water girl" won the gold medal of the national singing professional group; Chen Lili's "A Mei married" won the bronze medal of the professional group; and "cry out loud" was sung by LV Hongwei and AO Changsheng respectively, one won the excellent award of the professional group and the other won the silver award of the amateur group. All three songs have become college vocal music teaching materials. In 2006, at the 12th youth song competition, Meng Yong composed 9 songs and 10 people sang them. Chen Lili's "A Mei married" won the silver award for national singing; Yan dangdangdang's "hometown, this is you", "never forget", "father mountain, mother river" won the Bronze Award for national singing; Wang Qingshuang's "never forget" won the excellent award for national singing. "Zhuzheng" No.1 studio

On June 30, 2006, CCTV held a large-scale "always with you" Gala to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. He said that what is particularly unforgettable is that he was ordered to write a song about the construction of new countryside in the face of crisis. When examining and approving the program of the party, the leaders of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee thought that there must be a program reflecting the Party Central Committee's construction of a new socialist countryside. But I searched around and couldn't find it. The leaders immediately decided that Wang Xiaoling, the head of the comrades in arms literary and Art Troupe and the famous ci writer, and Meng Yong would cooperate in the creation. After Meng Yong received the poem "beautiful village" written by Wang Xiaoling, he wrote a song of youth and joy in only two days. At the party, this "impromptu" song was sung by LV Wei and Wang Hongwei, and was well received after broadcast. Moving forward, back to October 28, 2005, it was still in the No.1 studio of CCTV that a large-scale Gala was held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Taiwan's recovery. Meng Yong is the music director of the party. Meng Yong said that before that, he had been the music director of the gala held by CCTV for many times, but it was his first time to be the music director of No.1 studio. So when he received the task, he was excited for a long time. The three chapters of the evening party are all connected by Taiwanese folk songs, and each chapter is sung by stars with different singing methods, which makes it have a sense of history, artistry, driving force, and play a role of leading a needle. As for the music style of the whole evening party, the leaders of the Central Committee and experts on the Taiwan issue all spoke highly of it.

Meng Yong's works not only have strong national characteristics, but also have a strong sense of the times. He said that this is because he has absorbed the aura of Hunan and Chu culture, and his composition comes from life. As Xu Peidong, Secretary of the Party group of the China Music Association, said in the preface of Meng Yong's newly published "selected national art songs of Meng Yong" (Episode I), "the author devotes himself to the boiling tide of reform and opening up with passion, not only consciously observing the hope and rebirth brought by the advanced productive forces to the ancient nation, but also focusing on the development and trend of national music. So as to encourage their own music creation innovation and change more consciously. "Banzhu tears", "Shanzhai sketch", "A-Mei married" and so on spread like wildfire as soon as they came out. It can be seen that the author is innovative and changes, unwilling to regenerate himself, and striving to find a new feeling.
