Zhao Kunyu
Born in Fushun, Liaoning Province, he is a member of China Musicians Association, and is now the chief of China National Symphony Orchestra. When he was seven years old, he performed solo and was once known as a child prodigy. In 1993, he was the chief chamber musician of the central orchestra. He has visited many countries in Europe, America, Asia, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan with the central Orchestra and the China Symphony Orchestra. He has participated in Hong Kong, Macao art festivals and touring performances in dozens of large and medium-sized cities in China. His performance, with exquisite skills, unique deduction and passionate performance, shows his artistic talent and charm, which is warmly welcomed by the audience and affirmed by peers. He was rated as an excellent young expert of the Ministry of culture of the State Council.

Zhao Kunyu was born in a musical family. He studied violin with his father when he was young. He performed solo at the age of seven, showing his musical talent. At the age of eight, he won the first prize in Liaoning Province's literature and art performance, and was known as the "child prodigy".
Personal resume
In 1978, he was admitted to the middle school attached to the Central Conservatory of music and began to study violin playing comprehensively and systematically under the guidance of Professor Zhao Wei. On behalf of the key students, he had long-term exchanges and studies with world-famous violinists who visited China, such as Mr. Sinofsky, Bryan, Niemann, etc.
In 1987, he won the first prize in the violin professional examination and was admitted to the violin discipline of the orchestral Department of the Central Conservatory of music. He was the chief of China Youth Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra of Central Conservatory of music.
In 1990, he won the third prize in the fourth national violin competition.
After graduation in 1991, he was admitted to the Chamber Orchestra of the central Orchestra and served as the chief of Er ti. In the same year, the chamber orchestra quartet was set up as the first violin. During the period, he visited Macao, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other regions with the delegation for many times and played solo. Macao Daily praised "violinist Zhao Kunyu from the mainland of China for his skillful and delicate performance, elegant and full of connotation".

In 1996, he won the first prize of violin major in the professional examination of Zhongzhi Art Troupe and was admitted to China Symphony Orchestra. He successively served as chief assistant, deputy chief, acting chief and chief of orchestra.
Working experience
Zhao Kunyu has visited many countries in Europe, America, Asia, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan with the central Orchestra and China Symphony Orchestra. He has participated in Hong Kong, Macao art festivals and touring performances in dozens of large and medium-sized cities in China.
Zhao Kunyu has performed with music masters and conductor masters such as menuin, stern, oistrah, Shaham, maiski, ditua, Ozawa and Koch. In particular, the cooperation with German conductor Koch was praised by Koch as "the most outstanding chief of the orchestra".
In 1998, at the invitation of Maestro Seiji Ozawa, on behalf of China, he participated in the "the winten Orchestra Nagano", which is composed of elite orchestras from all over the world, organized and directed by Maestro Ozawa, and performed Beethoven's "Ninth choral symphony" at the Opening Ceremony Concert of the 18th winter Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan, which won the praise of peers in the world .
Zhao Kunyu, a violinist from the mainland of China, has played the ELGA Violin Concerto with the Macao Chamber Orchestra. In 2001, he participated in the Sarajevo Art Festival in BIH, cooperated with the National Symphony Orchestra of the country, and successfully performed Bach's Violin Concerto in D minor, which was a great success.
