Early experience
Zhu Zhu's ancestral home is Linhai, Zhejiang Province. She was born and raised in Beijing. When she was born, her grandfather gave Zhu a piano. Therefore, she began to study piano at the age of three until she graduated from primary school and studied with jazz pianist Kong Hongwei.
