The road to art
Mr. Lin Maogen joined the army in 1949. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, he has served in the literature and art department for a long time. He has served as the head of the literary and Art Troupe, the director of the cultural museum, the head of the music and folk art troupe and the head of the song and dance troupe. He has also served as a member of the Guangdong Federation of literary and art circles, the director of Chaoshan historical and cultural research center, the director of China Shitao art society, the Standing Committee member of Shantou Municipal Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference, and the Position. His personal experience has been included in the dictionary of Chinese musicians. Lin Maogen is a contemporary descendant of Chaozhou Zheng school. He is known as a master of Chaozhou Zheng art. His performance style is elegant and elegant, especially the "five Tunes" with strong charm. He has published Monographs on Chinese music, research on folk music and other journals, such as on 234 music, on Chaozhou Zheng, style of Chaozhou music and "live five Tunes". In 1992, another performance score of Chaozhou folk Zheng music was published by the people's Music Publishing House (edited by Li Yin). He made great contributions to the promotion of Southern Zheng art and was awarded the honorary certificate at the national Zheng conference held in Chaoyang, Liaoning Province in 1991. Lin Maogen was invited to perform and give lectures in Hong Kong from 1983 to 1990. In 1995, he was invited to perform in Singapore by Singapore Nanyang Art Institute Shicheng Chinese Orchestra. In March 2000, he went to Taiwan to perform and give lectures at the invitation of Taipei Municipal National Orchestra. In 2002, he went to Nanjing and Shanghai successively to attend the Nanjing International guzheng Art Research Association. The fourth Shanghai International Art Festival performed at the special performance of famous guzheng artists. In September 2003, he went to Beijing to participate in the "grand meeting of nine national music masters in Beijing" and performed with Li Xiangting, song Baocai and other celebrities at Zhongshan music hall. In April 2004, he was invited to Hong Kong to participate in the "art sea Evergreen - National Music treasures concert", and performed with senior performers such as Lin Shicheng and Lu Chunling, all of which were well received. Lin Maogen has many artistic talents. In his early years, he studied Chinese painting with famous painters Chen Wenxi and Huang Dufeng. He is good at chicken painting. His works have been exhibited in many newspapers and magazines. At 13:20 on June 8, 2007, Mr. Lin Maogen died in Shantou at the age of 79.
