Carmelo Anthony
Carmelo Anthony, born in Brooklyn, New York on May 29, 1984, is an American professional basketball player. He works as a small forward, nicknamed "melon", and plays for the Portland Trail Blazers in NBA.
In 2003, Anthony led Syracuse University to the NCAA championship. In the same year, he participated in the 2003 NBA draft and was selected by Denver Nuggets in the third place in the first round. In 2005, he was elected MVP of NBA rookie challenge. He led the Nuggets to the Western Conference finals in 2009, was traded to the New York Knicks in February 2011, and won the NBA regular season scoring champion in 2012-13 season. He was traded to Oklahoma City Thunder in September 2017, joined Houston Rockets in August 2018 and Portland Trail Blazers in November 2019. In his career, he has been selected into NBA all star lineup for 10 times, NBA best lineup for two times and NBA best lineup for three times.
As a member of the "dream team" of the US men's basketball team, Anthony has participated in four Olympic Games on behalf of the US team and won three gold medals in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, 2012 London Olympic Games and 2016 Rio Olympic Games. He is the scoring champion and the player with the most gold medals in the history of the US team. After the Rio Olympics, Anthony announced his withdrawal from the U.S. national team.

Carmelo Anthony was born on May 29, 1984 in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. His father was Puerto Rican and his mother, Mary, was African American. When Anthony turned eight, the family moved to Baltimore.

Anthony entered the University, joined the Syracuse University team; in the NCAA's maiden game, although did not take Syracuse University team to win and lost to the University of Memphis team, but Anthony in this game achieved 27 points and 11 rebounds. In Syracuse University, Anthony's 3-point shooting rate was 34%. He ranked first in the team in scoring, playing time, rebounding, peripheral projection hit, free throw hit and times.
In 2002-03 season, Anthony led Syracuse University to win the first NCAA championship in the history of the University team. In his first season of University, he averaged 22.2 points, 10 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. He was the best first year player of NCAA and the first to win the NCAA top four award since 1986's Louis Anna University's pevis Ellison The first first first year player. This season, Anthony scored 33 points against the University of Texas, the highest score in a single NCAA game.

2003-04 season
On June 26, 2003, Carmelo Anthony was selected by Denver Nuggets in the third place in the first round of the 2003 NBA draft.
On October 30, 2003, Denver Nuggets beat San Antonio Spurs 80-72 at home. Carmelo Anthony made his NBA debut with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Anthony scored 30 points in Denver's game against the Los Angeles Clippers on November 8, becoming the third young player in NBA history to score 30 points or more in a game.
On February 13, 2004, Anthony participated in the all star weekend rookie challenge, with 17 points, five assists and three rebounds.

2004-05 season
On February 16, 2005, the Nuggets beat the Atlanta Hawks 100-96, ending their 14 consecutive losses in Atlanta. This is the Nuggets' first victory over the hawks in Atlanta since 1988. Anthony scored 22 points and hit the winning goal 0.9 seconds before the end of the game, breaking the tie and helping the Nuggets win.
On February 29, 2005, the NBA all star weekend rookie challenge ended with a 133-106 victory for the sophomore team. Anthony scored 31 points and 5 rebounds to win the MVP.
In 2004-05 season, Anthony averaged 20.77 points, 2.59 assists and 5.68 rebounds per game, ranking 19th in the league and 16th in the league in total scores.
2005-06 season
Anthony scored a career high 45 points in the Nuggets' game against the Philadelphia 76ers in October 2005.
On November 23, 2005, Anthony won his 1000th rebound in the Nuggets' game against the Washington Wizards.
On March 17, 2006, Anthony scored 33 points in the game between nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies, with a career total of more than 5000 points, becoming the second young player to achieve this result.
In 2005-06 season, Anthony played 80 games with an average of 26.5 points, 2.7 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 1.1 steals. He was selected as the third team of NBA's best lineup this season. Anthony has hit five winning goals in the last five seconds of the season. At the end of the season, Anthony and nuggets signed a five-year $80 million contract extension.
2006-07 season
On November 23, 2006, in game 8 of the season, Anthony tied the team record of 30 + in six consecutive games set by Alex English in 1982-83.
On December 17, 2006, in the New York Knicks' game against nuggets in Madison garden square, Nuggets led by a large score, but did not replace the main team, which angered the Knicks' Marty Collins. Collins committed a vicious throat locking foul when Nuggets guard J.R. Smith lay up. After that, a number of players, including Anthony, joined the scuffle, and a total of 10 players were expelled from the game. Anthony was banned for 15 games by NBA chairman stern after he punched Collins in the face.
On February 1, 2007, NBA president stern chose Anthony as the all star substitute. He is also the first Nuggets player to be an all star since Antonio mcdace in 2001.

In April 2007, Anthony was elected the best player in April, averaging 28.9 points per game, second only to Kobe Bryant, ranking second in the NBA monthly scoring list, with 6.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.2 steals.
In 2006-07 season, Anthony won three player of the week Awards (November 20 - November 26; November 27 - December 3; February 5 - February 11), and entered the NBA third team for the second consecutive year. He averaged 28.94 points, 3.83 assists and 6.02 rebounds per game.
2007-08 season
On January 24, 2008, Anthony was selected into the all star lineup for the first time. He was second in the west after Kobe.
Anthony scored a career high 49 points in Denver's 111-100 home win over the Washington Wizards on February 8, 2008.
On March 27, 2008, the Nuggets beat the Dallas Mavericks at home and Anthony scored 9000 points in his career.
