Early experience

Acting experience

Band period

In 1983, in order to participate in an orchestra competition, ye Shirong and Huang Jiaju, together with two friends Deng Weiqian and Li Rongchao, formally formed beyond. Ye Shirong is a drummer.

In 1986, we released the band's first album "good bye, ideal". The album was completely arranged by beyond from packaging design, song creation to recording and singing. With this album, beyond won the attention of manager Chen Jiantian. In 1987, EP "always waiting" was released, which was the beginning of beyond's attempt to create rock and roll works in Cantonese.
