Dong Mingzhu

Dong Mingzhu, born in August 1954 in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, is an entrepreneur. She graduated from Anhui Wuhu Vocational and technical college, EMBA grade 2008 of Zhongnan University of economics and law, graduate class of Economics Department of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and EMBA of China Europe International Business School.

In 1990, he joined Gree as a business manager. Since 1994, he has successively served as the director, deputy general manager and vice chairman of the operation Department of Zhuhai Gree Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. In May 2012, he was appointed chairman of Gree Group. He was re elected as a deputy to the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th National People's Congress, member of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the people's Republic of China, vice president of Guangdong Women Entrepreneurs Association, honorary president of Zhuhai Red Cross Society, etc. In March 2004, she was elected as "China's top 10 female economic figures" in 2003-2004 by China Economic Weekly of people's daily. In June 2004, he was named "top 10 innovative entrepreneurs respected by MBA" and in November 2004, he was named "top 10 marketing figures in China in 2004". He is now the chairman and President of Zhuhai Gree Electric Appliance Co., Ltd.

On January 10, 2017, Dong Mingzhu won the title of "top 10 economic figures of the year 2016". In June 2018, he won the title of advanced individual in the implementation of national intellectual property strategy.

On January 1, 2019, Gree Electric held the general meeting of shareholders on January 16 for the general election of the board of directors, and Dong Mingzhu was nominated as the candidate for the board of directors. Dong Mingzhu was born in an ordinary family in Nanjing. He graduated from Anhui Wuhu cadre education college, majoring in statistics.
