Zhan Yongming
Zhan Yongming, a famous flute player and educator, is a member of the Chinese Musicians Association, a director of the Chinese national orchestral Association, and deputy head of the national ensemble. He has now moved to Singapore. National level performer. At present, he is Professor of Folk Music Department of Shanghai Conservatory of music, Postgraduate Tutor, Professor of Nanyang Art College of Singapore, President of flute society of Singapore, etc. He was awarded the title of "young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions" by the State Council of China and enjoyed the special allowance of the State Council for life.
Representative works
Born in Hangzhou in 1957, he studied under Zhao Songting, a flute master of Zhejiang School. He graduated from Zhejiang Art School in 1975 and was admitted to the Department of folk music of Central Conservatory of music for further study. Zhan Yongming's flute art ranked first in the national instrumental music competition in the 1980s. In recent ten years, he has won many awards in international and domestic competitions, and has performed and lectured in more than 20 countries around the world. He is known as "Magic Flute". His representative works include listening to spring (second prize of the sixth national music works selection), broken bridge meeting, Wujiang happy song, West Lake Spring Dawn, Flute Concerto orchid, everlasting regret, etc. He has also written basic course of flute, basic course 14 of flute (Volume 1 and Volume 2), appreciation and teaching of famous Chinese bamboo flute music, ten lectures on flute, etc. There are more than ten CDs of "happy meeting", "new voice of China", "spring dawn on West Lake" and "listening to spring".

In the 1980s, Zhan Yongming ranked first in the National Instrumental Solo competition (the first in the flute group) and became famous in the music world. He has traveled all over Asia, Africa, Europe and the United States. He is known as the "Magic Flute" by people, and even as "Magic Flute" by the Washington Post“ Today's outstanding performer.
In 1991, he visited Taiwan as the first outstanding folk music performer in mainland China, which made an important contribution to the promotion of flute art performance and teaching on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. He was known as "the first flute sound penetrating the Taiwan Strait".

In July 1991, he was awarded the title of "young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contribution" by the professor of the State Council of the people's Republic of China, and enjoyed the special allowance of the government. In 1997, he taught at Nanyang Art Institute of Singapore.

In 1980, he won the first prize in the West Lake Spring Flute Competition;
