Shi Shucheng
Shi Shucheng is a famous pianist and conductor in China. He is currently the resident conductor and piano soloist of the Central Philharmonic Orchestra.
Life of the characters
Born in Beijing in 1946, Shi Shucheng won the first prize of "Beijing Children's concert Award" when he was young. In 1958, he joined the middle school attached to the Central Conservatory of music and studied under Professor Li changsun. At the age of 16, he held his first piano recital. After graduating from the Central Conservatory of music with excellent results in 1969, he joined the central orchestra as a piano soloist. He studied conducting under the guidance of American conductor David Gilbert and began conducting the central Symphony Orchestra in 1981. In 1983, he won the DAAD scholarship of the Federal Republic of Germany and Friedrich von enheim to study command. During his three-year study abroad, he was invited to give concerts in more than ten cities in Germany, and performed in radio and television for many times. So far, Shi Shucheng has held more than 1000 concerts at home and abroad, covering more than 100 cities in dozens of countries and regions. He has played and directed a large number of different types of Chinese and foreign music masterpieces, and often performed in cooperation with international famous soloists, conductors and symphony orchestras. In addition, many tapes, records, CDs and VCDs were recorded. Shi Shucheng is one of the authors of the Piano Concerto Yellow River, which he revised in 1989. The recording, which he performed as both soloist and conductor, was praised as "excellent expert" by overseas music critics. Both the American Biography Institute and the Jianqi international biography center have listed him in their respective world celebrity lists. In 1995 and 1998, at the invitation of Professor Donald portner, President of the American conductor Association, Shi Shucheng visited the United States twice and held concerts. He successfully conducted the Augusta Symphony Orchestra of USC Chamber Orchestra.
In 1981 and 1991, he won two awards from the Ministry of culture.
