motto
He Zhanhao has a motto in music creation, that is: "nationalization of foreign forms, modernization of national music". In the first 20 years of his composing career, he mainly focused on "nationalization of foreign forms". In 1959, Liang Zhu became famous both at home and abroad. His string quartet diary of martyrs, string and chorus never forget the past, Symphony poem Longhua tower and other large-scale instrumental and vocal music works came out one after another. In this period, his works are not only dramatic and lyrical, but also have a strong national style.
Modernization of national music
In the 1980s, he Zhanhao took "modernization of national music" as his goal. In addition to adapting "Liang Zhu" into Concertos for Gaohu, erhu, Pipa and guzheng, he also composed a large number of national instrumental music works, such as Erhu Concerto "love in troubled times", "farewell is also difficult", erhu and band "Mochou female Fantasia", national orchestral "Yili River", "festival horse racing", guzheng Concerto "Peacock Flying Southeast". sketch
He Zhanhao was born in August 1933 in hejiashantou village, Zhuji. When I was young, I loved music. Later, I was admitted to Zhejiang Arts Troupe as an actor.
He was admitted to Shanghai Conservatory of music in 1957 and explored and practiced the nationalization of violin performance.
In 1958, he cooperated with his classmate Chen Gang to create the Violin Concerto "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" based on the tone of Yueju Opera. Since then, he has become one of the famous figures in the Chinese music world.
In Zhuji, when I was a child, there were two kinds of opera, one is Yue opera, the other is Shaoxing Daban. My father knows something about Shaoxing big board. Therefore, when I was a child, I heard some elders sing some home operas, mainly my grandmother, who was a fan of Yue opera. My task is to carry a stool for my grandmother. Every Chinese new year, I carry my stool to the theater and put it away. My grandmother leads me to the theater. I have been influenced by the music of my hometown since I was a child. Second, when I was a child, during the Anti Japanese War, my aunts studied in senior primary schools. After they came back, they sang many anti Japanese songs. I thought they were very good, so they were influenced by these new music. The music has been rooted in my mind since I was a child. In this way, I gradually like music, until when I read, I especially like music.
Study
In the year of Hangzhou liberation, he Zhanhao was only 17 years old and was admitted to the Zhejiang provincial literary and Art Troupe. He is good at acting and dancing. In 1952, he Zhanhao became a member of Zhejiang Yueju Opera Troupe, where he began to learn violin. In order to improve his skills as soon as possible, he went to Shanghai early on Sunday to find a teacher to learn.
I was admitted to the Conservatory of music at that time. Actually, I came to study violin. I hope to return to Zhejiang after I finish my studies, so that I can play my role in this aspect. At that time, we studied all foreign tunes, and we always felt that the Etudes and music we learned were not compatible with the taste of our native opera. (we feel) we should take the responsibility of (playing Chinese violin) on our shoulders. Therefore, although we play the violin, we still have to create and learn to create. After I came in from the Conservatory of music, due to the need of violin reform and nationalization, I began to study creation.
In 1957, he Zhanhao was admitted to Shanghai Conservatory of music. He and several like-minded students formed an "experimental group of violin ethnology" to discuss the national style of violin creation and performance.
We are the first group to play "Er Quan Ying Yue" by violin. Maybe my record is the first one. After we pull, they like it, they can understand it. So, in fact, we use the violin to play folk music and opera so that the people can understand it. They like it, so we go this way.
Main works
Violin Concerto "Butterfly Lovers"
In 1959, the Violin Concerto "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" came to the stage, playing the Chinese nationalized symphonic music, which is of great significance. The 26 minute concerto has a record circulation of more than one million. Chinese call it "our own symphony". In that year, he Zhanhao and Chen Gang were 26 and 24 years old respectively. They were both students of Shanghai Conservatory of music. He Zhanhao talks about the creation of Liang Zhu
Although I had already done experiments on the subject of "Liang Zhu", I once wrote a quartet with the tune of Yue opera, which was played by four people. (at that time) when an official of the Ministry of culture came to our school for inspection, Mr. Meng Bo, Secretary of our Party committee and composer, recommended it to him. After listening to it, he felt that there was no such precedent for playing Chinese opera music with Western instruments at that time, and he hoped that we would continue to explore it.
In addition to modern themes such as steel smelting and women's militia, we have added another question: can we write a big one on the basis of the little one. After the three themes were sent up, comrade Meng Bo, Secretary of our Party committee, did not hesitate to tick the third theme, which we did not think was very important (on "Liang Zhu") (he said) you can write this! So, in retrospect, leadership is very important.
Contribute to national music
I think as a musician of the Chinese nation, I should study and contribute to the music of the Chinese nation. For example, why can't erhu and pipa, like violin and piano, become musical instruments that people all over the world like. Therefore, after the 1980s, I devoted myself to the symphony of national instrumental music. I wrote a lot of Erhu Concertos and guzheng concertos. Erhu Concertos not only cooperated with national orchestras, but also cooperated with Western symphony orchestras, so that we performers could travel all over the world with a handful of erhu.
He Zhanhao not only did well in his creation, but also actively trained composers and performers. His support for the younger generation is well known to his insiders. He often told himself that music career should be passed down like a baton, one after another.
She was the first one to play the role of Mo Chou Nu written by me. I recruited Ma Xiaohui from Shanghai, and then I found someone to take her to Hong Kong to pull my "don't worry about me" and "don't worry about me", which made her quite famous at home and abroad.
I was named "multi-functional composer" because I have a wide range of ways. I also write Western symphonies, national instrumental music, opera and popular songs. It's hard to see each other and it's hard to say goodbye. I didn't know it was written by me. I thought it was written by Xu Xiaofeng.
Creative features
The characteristics of my creation highlight the word "emotion" and the word "emotion" of emotion. I think my works can be divided into two categories: love, which is patriotism. Another kind of love. Just because I am famous for Liang Zhu, I was once regarded as an expert who wrote about love. When I visited Hong Kong, I just said that I was born, educated and promoted
