Tang weiqi

Hong Kong, China children's program host and children's song singer. In the end of 1980's, he was defeated in the future idol competition of Asian TV. He was appreciated by the record producer Xu Yuan and Zhao Zengxi. In 1991, he signed a contract with baolijin and changed his name to join the music industry.

Career experience

In 1987, she took part in the rookie singing contest, and she won the top five. Later, she was defeated in the future idol competition of Asian TV.

The baolijin period

In 1991, Tang Weiqi won the recognition of record producer Xu Yuan and Zhao Zengxi, and signed a contract with baolijin to join the music industry.

In March 1992, she launched her personal album Vikki in baolijin. Her songs include "gone with the wind", "touchme", "angel in a dream" (theme song of cartoon "Uncle long legs") and her chorus includes "night is over" (singing with Zhang Gangji). Angel in a dream won the top ten children's song awards at the 1992 children's song awards ceremony.

In 1994, baolijin released her single "ask what you think in your heart" and her chorus "I know gentleness" with Chen Yongye. "Ask what you think" was originally a popular song, but baolijin deliberately packaged it as a children's song. At the end of the same year, she was dissatisfied with the fact that baolijin had not released a new album for her (Tang Baoru, who was born in the same company in the same year, had released four albums).

Yale records

period

In 1995, Tang Weiqi joined Yale records and participated in the production of BAISHILING Park, a collection of songs for children's environmental protection education. He recorded four songs: "give you a piece of sunshine", "songs my mother taught me to sing", "a-do-dum-dum" and "star Lullaby". Among them, "give you a piece of sunshine" won the top ten children's song awards at the 1995 children's song awards ceremony. This year is also the turning point of her singing career - after 1995, she only focused on singing children's songs. In the same year, Tang Weiqi joined TVB children's program lightning fax machine as host.
